Ah, hard to say. Yeah it should have hit stateside already. My only assumption is that it's on it's way or sitting at your closest International Sorting Center waiting to be scanned/sorted/inspected. These were the next updates after yours.

Just want to confirm that the silver is NOT paint. If I look on the backside via the pictures in post #1762 TRD Pro Grille for $140?, the letters are black plastic. I would guess its paint on the frontside unless they used a two-part molding process.

EDIT: Upon closer inspection, it looks like the front silver pieces are snapped into the molding? In the pics, I see either snap-in tabs or a molding dimple.

    Good to know.

Exactly! I'm thinking about picking one of these grilles up as well. Under the summer Phoenix sun, it will probably be a pool of goo, but at least it will look good for the first half of the year!

This could be one difference between the OEM (Made in USA) grill vs. the Made in China grill. Perhaps it's already been mentioned in the previous 91 pages of the thread, but I'm looking at a picture of the backside of the OEM TRD-Pro grill now and there are definitely no screws holding the TOYOTA piece to the main piece; it's all one straight mold.

EDIT: Well...maybe not...look at Post #1733 TRD Pro Grille for $140?. No screws!

Personally I like the fact mine is a 2 piece. I now have options that I would not have with the oem 1 piece. I can take the center section out, scan it with a 3d scanner, change the letters to read "TACOMA" or "TRD" or "TRD SPORT" and 3d print a new center section. I can even make it say "CHINA". The quality of mine is excellent. There are zero flaws and the fit is fantastic. The oem could not fit any better. The color is very deep and consistent.

I don't think Bruceshark-1 is around anymore! I did a search for this seller name and no results found. Anyway, I bit the bullet too. I ordered from grill-pro. Before eBay (and Toyota) shuts them down, I placed my order and utilized a $15-off coupon that eBay sent me via email.

That's why I got one despite not having it anywhere on the budget list right now. Didn't want to miss the window for a cheap grille, and I'm not going to pay $400 for brand name plastic or some overbuilt (and usually gaudy) steel aftermarket grille. I'd be surprised if this lasts very long.

    ^^^^
Looks pretty sweet, IMO. Sort of cross-mutates the Tacoma with the 4Runner, but does't leave such a wide-mouthed gap on the front.

Ever wonder if the major auto manufacturers get some sort of memo from a mastermind designer somewhere? Like 1 or 2 people that are in charge of ALL automobile designs, sort of like how there are only 2 people who write all of the pop music somewhere in Denmark or some crap? The "largemouth bass design" is in Fords, Chevrolets, Mazdas, and Toyotas.
