So @Joe23 how are you liking the lift? Has the rear end settled down a little?

hasn't settled much but a little. Its still not level but meh don't really want it to be. But I might dial up the front a little more.

Thing is its level once I have some weight in the bed which I like while off road.
Its also softened up a lot more now which I love. Love it more and more each day.

To me worth every penny now. If I had to do it again only thing different I'd do is the LCA as well so all the labour overlapped cause I need to do them still. And would've had Ski do the install at CT Motorsport instead of the mechanic I've gone to for years.

In the end had to get ski to adjust a bunch of shit just cause my local mechanic isn't familiar with lifting as much as ski is. And he doesn't have the tools to rebuild shocks on site. Had issues with the reservoir hose rubbing but my mechanic couldn't do anything about it cause to adjust it meant loosening the fiitings in the process loosing the nitrogen gas. Ski has the stuff to rebuild so I needed him to adjust everything for clearance. Should've just got him to do the install all together.

you only need to worry about the recharge of nitrogen and rubbing problems if you are running remote reservoir
If I remember right you said you were thinking bilsteins or ome right?

Problem was although the suspension on 2nd and 3rd gen is interchangeable, the mounting is slightly different. So the Fox I have came set up for simple bolt in into a 2nd gen. So it needed a lot of adjustment to fit a 3rd gen in terms of how the hoses were.

Also just something for all of you thikning of lifting to be aware of in terms of going with anything remote reservoir. Although they ride great remember they need to be serviced. Servicing will likely cost $400-$600 if not more. And depending on the company need more servicing. King's usually need the most. Icon I believe is somewhere around every 80k km. Fox I'm still not sure what I have to do. They come with paperwork for servicing. Problem is it says every 1000miles for racing only. 10 000miles for 50/50 on road and off road. or 50 000miles all on road. That being said I called them and they basically told me that you will feel when they need rebuild and when they refer to 50/50 they are referring to actually jumping it and racing off road which is much harder on the suspension. So really I can likely push it a lot closer to that 50 000mile mark. So around 75k km should be good.

I know some think my setup is overkill. But to me worth it. The ride is so comfortable on road, and off road when we did Ardbeg both the bumpy road entering and the end of the south trail barely felt any of it. It eats up all the bumps. Also found one intersection near my house where with OEM suspension would have the back end come out on me or have the stability control kick in because the road is so fucked up from the ruts caused by the overloaded buses, that now its fine.
Used to be if I went anything over 50km over it I'd feel the back end get wiggly and have the stability light come on. Now I've hit it at 80km and didn't even feel it. Hell didn't even spill a drop of my coffee that was in the cup holder :)
To me the $7500 I've spent on this set up is worth it. But thats what needs to be considered for those looking to lift. My front suspension alone was almost 4k, and I still haven't done the LCA or limit straps.

But just so you guys are aware. The front can be done with fox extended travel much cheaper. Just get a cheaper UCA and don't get the DSC option on the shocks. DSC is $900 to add to the shocks. Total Chaos UCAs are the most expensive ones but offer the most travel, and they are built the best. They're chromoly, primed, powdercoated twice then clear coated. Only stuff I've heard stands up to our climate that has an uniball. Fox on the other hand has been in the market the longest compared to the other high up brands and they use the best material for their components.

You can also go wth the fox 2.0 instead of the 2.5 either way the ride quality of Fox is outstanding. When I did mine I figured if I'm going to do it, may as well do it right the first time and buy what will last, since I plan on keeping this truck till it dies.

I thought I was going with the Bilstein 5100's at first, but a lot of people are recommending the OME and 886's to compensate for the weight of the ARB. My lift is going to look something like this

    − OME 9000 Front Shocks
− 886 Front Heavy Coil overs
    − EL096R Rear spring pack
    − OME 60091 Rear Shocks

planning to achieve a 3" after its settled. Thoughts?

Why do you want LCAs? If your shocks currently reach full extension, there is no extra travel to be gained. Do you plan to run secondary shocks?

Keep in mind the uniball in the LCA application is said to wear out a lot quicker, as little as every 20,000 km, since it takes both radial (cornering) and axial (jounce) loads.

    they dont reach full lol.

LCA are limiting my front travel and leafs limit the rear.

Really? My LCAs don't limit my Icon Extended Travel shocks in the front. There is quite a bit of resistance near the end of travel from the rubber bushings. If you are concerned about that, you can always replace the bushings with urethane ones (which require grease) for a lot less money than LCAs from TC or Dirt King.

The Fox has more travel to it than the icon I believe.

When ski had it up the lowers stopped it.
    Besides the uniball moves better

Well, if you are going to do it, do it within the next year, before the cam bolts seize due to corrosion...

So after picking up my skids, I have run into an issue after looking to install them.
Because I'm learning as I go, I didn't realize my lift kit I had installed 2 years ago had changed the entire height for mounting the skids.
There are two cross bars, in front and behind the diff, that have been swapped and raise the mounting holes leaving the diff below the bars by about 3/4 of an inch. Rough Country supplied 2 skids with the kit and they allow for the change. The IFS skid is the one causing all the problems because it mounts onto both cross bars and is all one piece. I have figured out a way by cutting the skid at the lower mounting location which almost half and then creating an angled plate to drop and weld onto the cut leftover piece. Not sure if that makes sense. Learning things the hard way.
Here's the lift kit to give you an idea.

Oh man that sucks dude! U just had to be greedy and go for a full 4" lift eh haha couldn' settle for 3 inches like the rest of us hahaha time for a new lift I guess ;)

But holy crap that's a lot of parts for a lift! Looks like a 6" lift kit hahaha could u not have just thrown on the MaxTac spindles for a 4inch lift? Or is there more to it then that?
