    That would be ~32% discount once you back out your TTL. You negotiated a price of $28K on a $41.6K Tacoma? Can you send me your sales person name and # because I would fly to Houston for those prices.

    Found my 2017 Pro for 41,836.00 OTD. Was going to wait on my 2018, but I couldn't get it for that price, so I went with the 2017.

    Did you walk in or email/call around first?

    Since it’s getting close to the end of the year I don’t know if I can get a better deal by just walking in or emailing everyone in Cali lol

    I did the whole emailing thing and it didn’t pan out for me. A lot of bait and switch and these dealers that gave me pricing over the internet, confirmed with text, and talk to the manager. They pull out on deals. Just be careful cause it is a waste of time and driving was far too. I just came in and ask what they got and gave my max amount and of course they never give you what you want lol (even the one I bought from). A lot of dealers told me to just kick rocks (right off the bat) so I just walked. I think it is just pure luck and timing. Meeting the right sales guy and dealer willing to sale at that monument. The only thing is they fish a lot and I tell them nothing. I give them what I want to pay and if they say no then I ask what’s your best offer and I walk. If they make me wait 30 mins I walk. I hit like all the dealers in oc and I walked out on all of them. They always ask what other dealers quote me and I say it doesn’t matter. What matters is do you want to sell me the car then give me your best price. They give me bullshit quotes I walk and say we are too far apart and of course they ask what are Price you looking for but don’t waste your time just walk. Don’t waste your time with all the sidetrack conversation like financing you can afford it.

    It’s just so hard in Cali, especially southern Cali. A lot of dealers have them for 40k.. +TTL. That’s insane. It’ll be like 45k.

    I’m looking for a DC short bed TRD 4X4 with no tech or any of that.. you think 36k out the door with TTL be out of the question?

    Was yours 34k out the door with TTL?

    Ttl really depends on your county and city. Mine was exceptional high which sucks that is why i put the price before ttl. I feel like I did good for a 2018. Good luck trying to find a truck without stuff on it. Very rare you find a truck with nothing on it here in socal. I wanted the same thing but the few dealers that do have them weren’t budging on price. That is why I ask what they have in lot and let me take a look at it and negotiate specifically that truck. If they say they can get it then I walk

    So it matters what county you live in, not in which you buy from?
    I’m from LA county so I’m doomed. We’re like at 10% tax? Something like that. I suppose I’ll do the email thing and visit dealerships.

    On 11/16/17, purchased a 2017 TRD Sport DCSB with 4x4, Premium Tech w/JBL, and a few other options.

    Sticker = 40,655
    Paid = 36,815 before tax/title (no trade)

    I live in Cincinnati, but also checked with dealerships in Dayton and Columbus. Ultimately bought from Voss Toyota in Dayton. They were at $1,000 lower than anybody around me. And the purchase experience was really positive.

    $36K w/ TTL will be tough, but you could probably get close to $37K.

    I just bought the same model you are looking in Honolulu, HI for $34.5K before TTL, and $37.5K OTD w/ roof racks, mudflaps, and the 5" black tubesteps (our excise tax is only 4.712%).

    I always shop mainland SoCal prices before I do anything out here and w/ USAA TrueCar I had multiple dealers in Ventura County offering me $36.2K before TTL.
    Good luck!

    I'm paying 555 a month for a 2017 sr5 dcsb 4wd. No money down. Low 625 credit score. 6% interest.

    Sticker price of 38k. Out the door price of 37k. with gap insurance, extended platinum service plan, and deluxe tire and wheel warranty. I had to threaten to leave 4 times just to get the price i got... Its not great at all considering i see lots of people with sports and limited models for less... But they tried getting me at 40k and 618 a month at first.

    I didn't pay attention then... But a couple months later i seen they charged me $1288 for the extended service plan.. Which equaled 3 more free oil changes and 2 tire rotations... Basically covering from 25k-50k... I went back and canceled that shit.

    Also went back and canceled the deluxe tire warranty that they charged me 385 for... Since i switched tires and got the discount tire replace/refund certificates for 16 bucks a tire..

    Those 2 cancellations took just over 1000 off my loan, they pro-rated me... But that equals 36k OTD price...

    Not the best deal... But I'm being honest here... My not so great credit doesn't help at all.

    Well I’m hoping to give 15k down so even at 37k OTD, I’ll owe 22k.

    How does everyone feel about giving money down? Last time it seemed like they pocketed the 3k I put down.

    I was once told by a car salesman, friend of my father's... 10 years ago or more.... that anything less than 5k down was like throwing money away. I never have 5k or more to spare.. So i never put ANY money down on a vehicle.

    15k is a big chunk... That would definitely make a difference. If it doesn't put you in a financial bind, I'd say do it!

    Personally... I probably shouldn't of bought a nice new vehicle... Especially over 30k... Living on military disability... This is the most expensive vehicle i have ever owned... But i was told for years that I'd never be able to drive again due to an injury i sustained overseas... It took nearly a decade and lots of fighting... But the moment i was given my license back i went straight to car lots looking for a new truck... No regrets. We only live once.

Chula Vista Toyota...Jorge the sales manager helped me the entire way

    I knew it!!!! Sneaky bastards took my money lol.
    I sold my 370z, got 15k for it. Figured id use it for the taco.
    Thank you for your service! Definitely hear ya on the, we only live once. I’ve had one near death experience, and Work in a hospital. Life is so short and fragile, I’ve seen people that could’ve lived in a bubble and would’ve still died from rare, unknown diseases at a very young age. I didn’t want a new vehicle either but the resale is so high on these that it’s almost a better deal to buy new. And despite the struggles of a car payment, if I died tomorrow I’d have no regrets. Besides you deserve that truck man!

    Dude you can always refinance. I bet if you went to a credit union they would offer an apr a lot lower, hell you might be able to get 2.0-3.0 apr. Credit unions have the best rate and besides any institution would be willing to beat that rate since they could just pay it off right away and then they get to keep the rest of the profit.
