Finally received my rack a week ago after an 8 week wait. The rack is pretty everything I expected and worth the wait. But I do have a couple of issues. During installation I noticed the rail mounting bolts (M6x100) very close to too long. Sure enough now after the rack is installed I noticed some of the lock washers are not fully compressed. I’m going to order some M6x95 bolts to solve the problem. Not sure why they weren’t that size already. Has any one else run into that problem?

The other thing is the contour of the lower edge of the wind deflector poorly fits the roof contour of my 2017. Now maybe it fit the pre ‘16 roof line in which case why isn’t there a correct contour version available for ‘16-‘17 or is that as good as it has always fit in which case why wasn’t the contour set correctly in the first place? Maybe I’m being too picky but now I’m considering making a new one myself but first I’m wondering if anyone has seen or solved or even cares about this?

    Quite a lot!
Utilizing the Prinsu Load Panels I attached my Maxtrax using the Maxtrax Mounting Pins after having to go the hardware store for the correct size aluminum spacers, supplied spacers are not big enough (someone dropped the ball!)... Also used my roof rack to haul the kayak and having the roof rack light bar came in handy after the sun went down. fullsizeoutput_3c.jpg

Picked up a 40" Westin Lightbar on Amazon for $179.46. I have a Prinsu Rack so I needed and wanted a Single Row of Lights instead of a Dual Row to keep the low profile look and to keep it below the bars above. I installed it today up on the rack to get an idea of how it looks. My only complaint it the wiring harness as it will need some bit of modification to it to make it work so it will fit in the channel on the side of the window. I am not sure if any wiring harness is perfect but I am so I'm going to have to make it perfect as well. I hate being anal but I guess being a Virgo is part of my virtue and drive my wife a bit nuts too. I have heard so many people say that they have had their lightbar stolen so I did not want to go high end but also I was wondering what I could do a bit better to make sure this does not happen to me as well. One other thing I wanted to do was install a Cali-Raised bolt on Relay holder but unfortunately I have a manual Transmission which does not allow me to install this as I have a brake fluid reservoir where this is to be bolted.... real big bummer there. Anyway I will keep you all posted on the install...

Has anyone attached a Thule rack to a Prinsu roof rack? I have the Thule attachments for factory racks, would it work here? We carry 160 pounds of kayaks-what do the Prinsu racks support?

Ordered my rack during the Black Friday "sale" and got a shipping notification today. Hoping this isn't too good to be true.

You could always cut the given harness off the lighbar and run new wires down the trim of the window. I used heat shrink with Pos and ground and it perfectly fit in that groove that runs the side of the windshield. I'll post pics if you want.

Rigid Scene lights mounted up last night. Took an extra hour or so since my hands went numb the second the sun went down. Will get day pics for anyone interested in how the wiring is tucked away.

Absolutely that would be great. Thanks
No more wind noise than anyone else talks about. Just turn up the radio and tune it out is my motto these days.

All my Thule and Yakima stuff fits just fine. I have mounted my SUP rack, my stackers for carrying up to 4 what water kayaks on their sides, Thule paddle holders, and I have mounted my Yakima frontloaders for bikes before I installed my tonneau with Yakima racks in the bed (I now carry boats on the cab and bikes and sometimes more boats for shuttles) on the bed setup.

You should be fine, worse case you may need some longer hardware but I had a ton of extra stuff so it was all pretty easy. Some folks have gotten fancy and used hardware to just mount the Thule stuff to the t-slots for a cleaner install. My Thule stackers are a pain to take on and off with the narrow clearance under the bars so they’ve been on there for 6 months now

Opening up bed and cab space by relocating stuff to the rack. Awesome.

It’s planned. It’s been discussed. It’s happening... eventually.

It’s almost $3k after shipping, powder, and everything else. Fml.

Yeah I had to put off buying Prinsu since I busted my bumper and ordered a replacement last month. The wallet wasnt prepared for that purchase.
