I've got the General altimax on my 92 2wd and they have been great. I'd buy them again for sure.

 

Anything "small" so far that you found, that you're psyched about? Or just a lot of junk?

 

No problem. I should clarify that all of mine were studded also. The Firestones are better for deep snow, they have much more aggressive tread.

 

Yup! I found a box of underbody rock light stuff, but each little box was just like a rubber bracket and empty, then the last 4 boxes actually had them in there so those will be installed at some point, as well as keeping some fluids, some other random parts, and a completely new set of aftermarket tail lights. there is soo damn much, the only thing i am not looking forward too is having to take pictures of it all, but there will be stuff listed for free that I just wont take pic off probably. There's is just way more here than there should have been.

 

Looking to add some weight in the bed, just wondering what some of you are using. I'm thinking of either flat cement blocks or tube sand.

 

In 35 years of driving 4WD pickups, I've never added weight to the bed for traction. If you do, go with sand tubes or similar. Concrete blocks would hurt in an accident.

 

Old cast iron radiator FTW just strap it down.

 

You must drive on pavement, it's still hunting season here and have to park where it's not plowed. Plus old wood road are not plowed.

 

I like tube sand because you can use the sand in a pinch if needed. In the past, I've used steel tractor weights also. Now, the cap gives me plenty of weight. Whatever you use, make sure you secure it, you don't want it to become a projectile in the event of an accident.

 

Very true! On pavement only.

 

Those are hard to find. But also take up to much space.

 

For unplowed roads, I wouldn't want the extra weight. I'd rather be empty and aired down.

 

I have have had trucks before and with snow off road driving. Weight in the bed make a big difference

 

how good are polyurethane bushings? wondering if i should keep some more parts lol

I have a horse mat from tractor supply in my bed. Bought it more to keep things from sliding around the bed, but it's also not light either.

 

I have one of those, they are awesome! Damn thing is like 3/4" thick.

 

I have the small horse mats, works great for keeping stuff from sliding. I picked up 2 tube sand bags at Home Depot.I can remove these easy when I don't need them and store them in the shed.

 

Think it weighs 100lbs. When I bought it, I was going to put it in the back by myself. A bit too heavy and awkward for that.
