I thought I‘m going the official way to say hello to this awesome forum.
My name is Neil, I’m 26 years old and I live in Switzerland. I‘m into offroading and camping. Since you can‘t offroad in Switzerland, I use to save all my money and fly to the USA for extended offroad/camping trips.

In 2015 I drove a Land Cruiser FZJ80 from Los Angeles to Inuvik and for 2018, I‘m going to buy a 2nd gen Tacoma, convert it to a offroad camper and enjoy the beauty of the South West. The truck will then be stored at my friends property and used for future trips.

I‘m looking forward to spring 2018 to finally build a truck once just the way I want and I can‘t wait to head out to the desert and up the mountains.
Still in the market for a Tacoma though.

    Cheers, Neil

No you can’t, because Switzerland is a neutral country....

I have a cousin that lives in Zurich.

    Thank you!

Well you can drive on a gravel road and we have about two „offroad parks“. Most mountain roads are pavement, the gravel ones are privat access only or you can‘t drive on them in generel. Most vehicle mods are illegal, it‘s just no fun here.

You can drive to Morocco or Iceland of course, or drive some old, windy roads in the western alps. But even those roads can be tackled in a stock Subaru :p

    Thank you!

Yea I‘m very lucky doing this, being young and independent helps. But it‘s also hard saving all the money you earn and not getting too many nice things at home. But to me, it‘s absolutely worth it.
