Before TTL you should be around 27k-28k at the most.

i just bought my tacoma two weeks ago. i paid 30500 for it including destination charge. it is a 07 db cab trd offroad. side curtain airbags, roof rack, tube steps, bed extender, traction control, towing pack, vip alarm, daytime lights, seat covers, all weather floor mats, and the dz audio. they first wanted me to pay 33000. but i came at them with an offer of 28,000. i did my homework and it paid off. all of the add on's like the bed extender and roof racks have a 65% mark up. IF you use consumer reports website it wil help you come up with a good price. then you can add 4 % to 8% to the total price. i wouldnt go over 8 %. pm me with what you want on the truck and i can take a look at it and see what a good price is.

i found my spreadsheet that i made. its an excel file that i plugged prices into. it has both msr and what consumer reports or edmunds says you should pay for it. you can add zeros to the options that you dont want. I pretty much added all the bells and whistles so it totals high end and low end cost. its a great negotiating tool. if you want me to send it you pm me with your email. i would be glad to help out a tacoma owner!

ok email was sent. i went on toyota.com and put in a Ga. zip code. i actually wish i bought my truck from Ga. you can get a shit load more of options down there. in Ny its plain jane compared to you guys. i know we are hicks up here but damn. you can get bull bars added on, diff kinds of exhausts even dvd players factory installed. thats just amazing to me. i would have had a 40,000 truck in no time. haha

Hey Guys, I was just reading a thread over in another forum and one of the guys was talking about how the 2008 Tacoma will be released in ~2 months. Youall think that is true?

If so- should the price on the particular 2007 Tacoma at the dealership I like drop soon? I mean, wouldnt dealers want to move any remaining 2007's off the lot if the 2008's were out?

yeah i asked about the 08's and my dealer said they should be here by early oct if not sept. They told me that they should have a huge incentive by august to move out the 07's. i wanted to wait but we are expecting our first baby soon. and i need the double cab for the carseat. otherwise i would have waited for the 08's or atleast the savings with the 07's. There is no way to tell what the incentives are untill the actual sale of the truck. so for example if you were to spec out a truck and have it built. you can not tell what the true cost would be untill the time of the transaction. usaully it takes 6 to 8 weeks to spec out a tacoma.

Just to let you guys know, I went down to the local small town dealership around here and found a Blue TRD DC 4x4 with the following options:

    DZ-6 disc w/steering wheel controls
    OC-TRD off road
    TO-towing package
    WT-window tint
    GL -tailgate lock
    CF -carpet floor mats
    DG-color keyed door edge guards
    SD-skid plate
    P4-vehicle shield package

The sticker price was $31,250. They came at me with an offer of $28,975 right off the bat because I told them I was dealing with a bigger dealership in my home town. I got them to drop it to $28,700 because I said I didn't really want the P4. He said that it was about $500 over invoice. All in all I think it is a good deal. He let me drive it home for the night to sleep with it. When I got in it had 10 miles on the odometer, and he said they just put it on the lot today. I was really looking for silver, but blue is my favorite color. I think I will be sleeping with it for many nights to come;)

If that price is out the door TTL included then its not bad, but if thats not otd then you might need to watch out
