I'm having my lift installed. I have a quote for $850.

    Bilstein 5100's front and rear
    ECGS bearing
    887's Front
    ICON AAL

Does this seem reasonable? I cant do the install myself so I needed to find a good shop.

    What are your thoughts

I forgot the exact price of install for my 2001 lift, but it was nowhere near $850. I got a smaller business (and family friend) to do it. However, I got a quote from a "performance shop" that was more like $500-600. But I'm not too sure how reliable "performance shops" are because they also recommended me a rough country spacer lift.

Thanks! I haven’t been through this before so I have no point of reference.

It’s a reputable shop but needed some other input

I would love some help but the Georgia Taco forums aren’t too active. And I only have Sunday’s off work so it’s tough to get done without a two day weekend.

    Any other ideas?

My thought are to YouTube how to install it yourself. Or find some members that are willing to help you. It's super easy. Took me, alone, half a day to do it.

Mine was 500$ but dude wanted more when he found out it was an AAL. I showed him everything before he told me the price and he just ate the extra

That sounds crazy to me. I now feel even better about installing mine myself.

I don't know about the bearing but the shocks are stupid easy to do yourself if the coils/shocks are already preassembled. That quote seems high.

My first setup was similar to yours without the bearing install, had a local alignment shop do it for under $300 with an alignment. My second setup was King fronts/Icon rears and I did them myself, it's just a bolt off/bolt on application.

Just look at the build thread
I would say it was way too high but I don't know what all is involved with the bearing install. I paid a bit less than that for my install but it required a bit more labor and custom fabrication.

Michael, there are plenty of guys up near that are planning a mod day already and a meet this Wednesday. This is how you save money for more mods. Don't pay, you will be that much more ahead when you need to make mods later on down the road/fix something/or just be cooler in general.

ECGS bearing takes about 5 mins once you get the CV Shaft out. You can do it when you remove the stock coil, all you have left is the spindle and CV

Yeah don't spend money to do it. We just helped a guy throw on a complete lift yesterday. New Dakars and rear fox shocks, new JBA UCA's and new Toytec coils upfront. Took a few hours, trip to Ace, beer and pizza

Wow. Sounds like my quote is way high.

For those of you in Georgia that hired a shop to install would you mind telling me where you did I it?
