Did upper and lower grillcraft, took about 2 hrs install time. The install went nice and clean. The grills seem to be nice quaility. I like the black. Waiting on my TOYOTA emblem to be delievered. Should be here on the 20th. May keep the emblem white or may go with Silver met, or may go with matching Pyrite, I will have to see....... what might look the best. I like the retro TOYOTA emblem vs the stock chrome "T" logo.

I purchased the Grillcraft upper and lower grills through Auto Accessories, Truck Accessories, Aftermarket Parts By BilletAnything

And the soon to be added "TOYOTA" badge I ordered from https://www.toyotapartscenter.net/toyotatacomaparts.html

I plan to do the horn relo, just not sure where I will move them to yet. I installed the lower grill without removing the front bumper. The lower grill seemed easier to install than the upper.

Grillcraft upper and lower grills added~

Good to see another Pyrite with the chrome grill... I've got the upper grillcraft too. I'm going to try and take some much needed update pics this weekend.

Thanks! I was really thinking about the color matched grill, but after seeing 28guages mod, I decided on staying chrome, after all it is an SR5:D

Looks Clean! Is that a kit you bought? I have a Silver Tacoma I'm trying to black out, so that would be a nice touch for me.

    Thanks

I have an Offroad but I was thinking about the color match as well but I've seen a few pyrite trucks with 'em and just decided to keep my chrome to be a little different... I also have the TRD logo on the bottom corner but I agree that the TOYOTA logo would look sharp!

You should seriously reconsider. I went to a color matched surround when I Grillcraft'd and definitely won't be going back.

But then, I'm all about confusing people with my Taco. I peeled off the stickers and trimmed the mudflaps, so you wouldn't know it's a locked 4x4 unless you peered into the cab or crawled under and saw the transfer case.

Now that I've swapped grille surrounds and when I (soon) replace the rear bumper, you might have a hard time telling what trim level it is at all. The lack of hood scoop signals "not a Sport", but the other normal giveaways aren't there either.

Anyway, the grille came out RIGHT. Nice job on the install!

I am pretty set on the white TOYOTA logo. I think it will set the whole truck off just right.

Are you going to center the toyota or have it in the corner? And if it is centered, how do you plan on getting the spacing perfect?

I plan on centering TOYOTA badge on the grill. I ordered the same size TOYOTA badge as 28guage did. He posted a few pics of his install.

I will prep the TOYOTA badge by temporarily using two small pieces of double sided tape on the back. Position the badge on the grill, center it, and tape it off with a few small pieces of blue painters tape exactly where I plan to reinstall it, mark my pilot drill holes in through the back side of the grill mesh, remove, drill the badge, then secure with two small black screws with nyloc fasteners behind the grill.

Probably add a small washer before the nyloc fastener. You can usually pick up black screws at ace hardware in the metric screw . Or you can buy two small stainless screws and paint the tops or use a black sharpie.
Will post a pic when done. It hopefully look as good as Brians (28guage) does below; I may go with a met silver TOYOTA badge..jury is still out.

I got mine from http://www.toyotapartscenter.net. The part number is 75311-90K00. They only come in white lettering. Originally, I planned to paint it since I didn't think that I would like it in white. Now I'm liking the contrast of the white lettering. I might paint it later on but the jury is still out on that one. I'm waiting for Taco4x4NC to paint his first!:D
