    Oh Yeah!!!
    Edited:

Looking for this info so I can order a set of wheels w/o using spacers. Need to know all possible choices.

    thanks.

Just as title says, anyone know the specs on these. Just wanted to know if a wider wheel changes the spec requirements...

Most of you know I am now running 16x8's (4.5BS/-12offset)

The 18x9 XD's are the same, just wondering if they will fit

Also if Im running: 285/75/16 (on 16x8) now, and plan to run 275/65/18s (on 18x9s), will the width be the same due to the wider wheel and possibly lower the overall sidewall height.

tire calculator just gives tire info but nothing on wheel width differences.

    thanks.

    i think a 16x8 is actually 0mm offset? the 18x9 is -12mm with 4.5bs

the 18x9 xd's will fit with -12mm offset and 4.5"bs. the 275's should be slightly narrower than the 285's.

Why don't you run the 285/65/18? 275 is gonna look a little stretched on a 9" rim.

Trying to reduce overall diameter to 32.0 or lower...

With 275/65/18's : it will be just about that, maybe lower due to the strectch like you said.

with 285/65/18s; It will be like now, and that hurts performance and gas milage.

I will be running TRD SC this summer, and want a solid tire size that looks good but wont inhibit performance...

285/60/18's are the best option, 1" taller than stock, nice and wide. But damn hard to find a good tire in that size.

Found the Dune grappler, but it's pricey... LOL..,

Let me know what you think and thanks for your help...

    laters.

the 285/60's will work! you can get that size in the cooper zeons and they are a good rugged looking tire that won't break the bank. chris4x4 is doing a reveiw on them right now. sounds like he likes them better than the nitto terra grappler's

Are these brand new? Is that why they are only for 18+ rims?

not brand new they've been out for 2 or 3 years? they're geared towards trucks that come stock now with 18's and 20's. these tires make great factory replacements for those vehicles.

    regarding the above mentioned Coopers--

I have the Cooper Zeons in the 285/60/18 on my truck and I love them. they have great dry weather traction and feel alot better on wet pavement than the BFG Rugged Trails. i haven't took them off road yet. i paid $175each at DiscountTire.

running 40psi in them my gas mileage is about the same as with the stock tires.

Seems the wheels I had my heart set on have been discontinued:mad:. Need to know the exact BS and offset for 18x9's. is it the same for all wheels or are there exceptions. I dont want to run spacers but if I had to, what BS and offset would I be able to run with them.

    Thanks...

Depends on what size tire your wantin? -12mm and a 4.5"bs is the most popular size for tacoma's if you wanna run a tire wider than 265.

Ahh, ok that makes sense. Soo the offset affects where the wheel sits in the wheel well, and that will determine the width allowed.

Ok well I got lucky and the guys at WOTM have or can order within days the wheel I want. Now hopefully they can also hook me up with those Cooper Zeons you brought to my attention. Im sold on those, and would be nice to have something different.

If by any chance WOTM does not retail Cooper tires, where would you recommend as far as best competitive price and all.

    Thanks.

I think discount tire direct carries the coopers. If your still going With the monsters then you can fit the +18mm. It'll sit inside the fenders more than the -12mm but you will only have about a 1/4." clearance between the tire and the uca.
