Two of my BIGGEST pet peeves when driving in Doylestown Borough...

People who either hold up an entire block of traffic to parallel park because they must have that spot, or people who blindly pull out of street parking spaces without looking! This picture is from almost 6 months ago, so I don't remember what the driver of this white VOLVO was doing. Regardless, the light is green and I'm obviously not moving, so I guarantee you I was not too happy...

FUN FACT: I'm friend with the guy who owns the white Sierra 1500 directly in front of the Volvo...




And then seconds after getting around the white Volvo, I encountered one of the Borough's far more common annoyances...

Idiots who cross when the traffic light is green and the orange hand is clearly saying that pedestrians can't cross...

This shithead is also on his phone!

Yet another pet peeve of mine that I frequently encounter while driving in Doylestown Borough, quite often at this very spot...

Idiots who just blindly pull out of side streets and hope for the best! Some of them at least have the courtesy to obey the stop sign, and I'm at least expecting a 50/50 chance of them cutting it close and pulling out. A lot, like this idiot in the Mazda, just ignore the stop sign! The speed limit is clearly 25, I was doing maybe 28-30 MPH at the most, and if I remember correctly I had to slam on the brakes and lay on the horn in this situation...

And, even more Doylestown Borough driving pet peeves...

The parking lot of the bar where I work exits onto this stretch of Pine Street. There is metered parking on the side I'm on, but no parking allowed on the other side. To give you and an example, that white Jeep Grand Cherokee has the right of white. Me and the black Honda Civic in front of me are required to yield to the Jeep (and any vehicles behind it). Most people (myself included) respect this. However, there have been times when I've been coming from the same direction as the white Jeep, and assholes on the side of the street I'm on in this picture fail to yield. I was once forced onto the curb by some douchebag in a Jeep Liberty...





And then just seconds later, we came to the crosswalk. The two lovely ladies to the left were just standing on the street corner, and didn't start to cross until the black Civic was making the right turn. I stopped and waited patiently for the girls to cross. Sometimes pedestrians take their sweet time, and on a few occasions I have blasted my horn at them, but I never take my foot off the brake pedal. Beeping at people is obnoxious, and I really don't do it as much as I used to, but beeping out of sheer annoyance is not technically illegal and it's never going to put someone's life in danger...

One day in the spring or summer of 2017, I was crossing the street in the crosswalk marked with the red arrow (on the right in this photo). Taking into consideration how much I hate leisurely pedestrians who have no excuse to move so slow (meaning they are able-bodied and/or sober), I believed I was moving plenty fast. There was an old man in a red Chevy Volt stopped at the crosswalk marked with the blue arrow. The old fart didn't think I was moving fast enough, so he took his foot off the brake and started coasting through the intersection while I was still in the crosswalk. I stopped exactly where I stood, threw up my hands in frustration, and stared at him with an angry "WTF?" look. He screamed at me to move. I continued across the street, exchanged some words with the old fart, and flipped him the bird in full view of his shocked lady friends before walking away...

Some of you might have noticed that there seems to be a regularly-occurring 3-day gap in my dashcam still photos every week. This is because I rarely work on Sundays, and the bar where I work is closed on Mondays (unless it's St. Pat's, another big drinking night, or a very special show). June 24th fell on a Saturday, and June 27th was a Tuesday...

And here we go again, heading into town via Main Street, and someone pulls out of the Wawa parking lot wayyy too far! Luckily, I had plenty of space to my left to avoid this idiot in the silver Accord...

Look down the road where I'm turning right. You'll see a a silver Audi with its brake lights on, and a maroon SUV directly in front of it (three red arrows) with the back liftgate open...

The driver of the SUV decided to drop off their passenger and his backpack right there, and I think that Audi was waiting there for quite a while before I came around the corner...



How about I drop you off here, honey? And not only that, unload your luggage too! Not like it's busy road on a weekday afternoon...

Oh, wait...




Sooo...
You couldn't have shut the back door when you got your backpack out instead of making two separate trips to get the backpack and shut the back door...?
