What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Whenever I don't bed in my brakes I only get issues when I make sudden stops in the first few hundred miles and after that it makes my rotors feel warped. But then I just clean them off and drive cautiously and it's gone

That's with 5 sets of pads sometimes bedding others not

Also to add in I drive interstate only pretty much so I figure slowing from 75-45 for off ramps essentially does it for me

 

the truck only has 60K on it, I bought new rear shoes, but when I pulled the drum off they looked fine, so I didnt change them.

 

Got my scs f5s today, they look even better in person. thanks Vin for helping me out.

Yup! Only hinged on one side but allows easy access into the bed.

 

Yes, but not for the 5 lug pattern on 5 lug Tacoma.

SCS makes the F5 wheels to fit Toyota's 'large, 5 x 150' lug pattern that is found on 2nd gen Tundras.

 

Does this look like the OEM 3RZ clutch disc? Has Aisin stamped on it but not Toyota

Out of curiosity I lifted one side of the truck by the slider with the forklift, while the tires were off the ground I bounced the forks up and down a bit to test bolt strength, they are plenty strong. This setup is just as sturdy as any weld on slider

Clean your MAF sensor really good. I had the same code, cleaned the sensor, cleared the code and it hasn't come back.
