The offroad comes with a factory locker. With a sport you would have to add a locker which can be expensive w on board air compressor, compressor mount, wiring, switches, etc. More importantly what are you doing with this truck? I'm assuming you're going balls out wheeling with a planned long travel kit. Then you definitely want the locker.

I don't think I'm going to be doing extreme off-roading. Mostly highway driving and around town with the occasional weekend of letting it loose.

When you say "expensive", for those things you mentioned whats the ballpark? I'm going to look into the TRD Offroad vs the Sport. I appreciate you bringing this up!

I suggest you start by doing alot more research through the tacomaworld forums here. You can find an answer to pretty much any question you can come up with if using the search engine here correct. Good luck

I think you’re looking at a long winded response from most of these guys when describing expensive. Any LT kit is upwards of 5k+ and that’s for the front. Maybe less if you do the work yourself. You could just keep it simple and get the OR. And beef up the front end with a mid travel kit and some secondaries. Then some nice deavers in the rear with king smoothies. Trim cut whatever and stuff 35’s. Regear all at the same time. Make sure you get a swingout rear bumper, sliders, skids and a CVT RTT for extra EXpo points

Since there are 84 people watching this 48 being members did I miss anything?

Exactly. For example there's several ways to add a locker on a sport. You would have to research and find what's right for you (op).

Duuuude, get the OR. It’s a much better value. You can pick up a Sport hood if you want the look.

You should see the hood trade thread. The non-scoops outnumber the scoops 50 to 1. Most people want the scoop.

Right on. This is the way to do it if you spend more time on the road. Good chunk of the offroad performance without compromising street manners. LT is badass no doubt but it's not a good move if you don't need it.
