What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Typically codes that have to do with running too lean or too rich are related to an issue with the MAF sensor. Then again, you never really know with trouble codes.

 

Cleaned that and the throttle body about a month or so ago

 

Might want to check if you see have any vacuum leaks or cracks in the hose from the throttle body to the airbox. Or it could be possible that your MAF sensor is bad and just needs replacing. I would maybe try cleaning again and then clearing the code/disconnecting the neg battery terminal and see if it comes back.

I've personally had and tried to diagnose a p0171... It's a nightmare. Of all the codes, it has the most possible trouble areas to check.

 

PRP Strap came in so I bolted down some D-Ring mounts and threw the spare on for desert this weekend.

 

Peaked under the hood, everything seemed to look okay. Truck isn’t running any different, I reset the code and will see if it comes back

Put a spring on my 4’ Firestick and holy shit am i glad i got a heavy duty haha i almost got the medium offline but decided to pick one up local and all they had was a heavy duty. I couldn’t even budge the spring by hand but once i put the antenna on it the damn thing flies everywhere

 

Where did you mount it?

 

Even with a 3' it's all over the place, they need a heavier duty version now haha
