Agreed. I like the technology. Sitting on some right now, thinking I'm going to snag more as soon as all my transactions clear. And if it ever hits $10K, I'm retiring.

Quick question on coinbase. Im limited out on credit/debit purchases. I bought 100 usd ltc using my bank to test it. It says it wont be available for a week.. so i wont see any profit or loss for a week until it clears? Or does it start from once the transaction cleared? If thats the case ill miss out on the gains from just the pending transaction

It locks in the price it was at when you first purchased it at, not the price it’s at when it clears.

Can't do I because there is no name on the card and most of them run as debit cards and not credit cards

It's locked in at whatever price you bought it at. Example:

I bought 1.47xxxxx LTC when it was ~$99. Even though it hasn't cleared, I'm locked in at that price. So right now, even though I can't physically do anything with it (sell/trade), and it's not showing in my LTC wallet on Coinbase, I'm still profiting from the upswing that it's had.

Binance has it, yes. So, once you get some funds in Coinbase, send them to GDAX, then send them to Binance. Then buy IOTA. Personally, for right now, my IOTA is sitting on Binance (along with my ETH, XRP, and some BTC). I haven't moved anything to any storage wallets yet. I need to... Might get on that this weekend if I get some free time. Want to research a little more first.

you exchange for IOTA on Binance with BTC or ETH. IOTA isn't supported yet on Ledger but there should be an update so you can soon enough

No, you just need to send from coinbase to Binance. Everything is in the OP

Binance only supports exchanging with BTC or ETH.

EDIT: However, you can send LTC to Binance, exchange it for BTC on Binance and then exchange that way.

Also word of advice for credit card users.

When I first bought in using a credit card Bitstamp ran my card as a cash advance. The majority of credit cards charges an insane amount of % and fees on top of the transaction.

    For Example:
I bought 24.968LTC for $2,500 using my Visa credit card through the bank I work at.
When the transaction came through and showed on my statement there was an additional charges of $100 for the cash advance & $50 since the transaction took place in London.

My regular % on my credit card in a flat 12% but on cash advances the rate is somewhere around 20%

Some of you may be lucky and have a card that do not charge you extra for using it like this. Just wanted to let people know.

If I used a debit card, would I get hit with cash advance fees?

After doing some searching on forks it appears that Ledger Nano support forks according to their CTO on reddit.

There should not be any fees using a debit card. Only fee I could see being charged if they run it over seas.
