    Me too. Patience.

He has a gravel pit with a scale on his property. I went there this afternoon, but it wasn't cooperating with the snow or something. Same guy also has access to a lot for a large construction company where I'll probably head tomorrow to get a better idea on weight.

Yeah what happens to the scale is that there are all these weight sensors through out the scale. If any of them get wet. That causes a short and they can’t get good readings. Have to wait until they dry out or a re calibration is done. It’s a pain in the ass.

 for said go fast camper.

It's on the radar, but being able to go on a multi-month road trip in the truck is what's currently on my mind.

How did the tweeter mount up? Did you use the factory bracket? And i thought the only wiring needed would be the two cables from the tweeter it self?

Going way back! Over 4 years ago.

The tweeters came with a little, plastic flush mount thing that I used. They just pop in the holes in the door panel after removing the factory tweeter and bracket. Not quite perfect, as the door is slightly rounded there, but not enough to bother me.

There's a crossover between the tweeters and the speakers.

Was that with you sitting in it?
Should we subtract 50lbs for accurate vehicle weight?

For sure. I’m not surprised frank is close to 6000. I thought he was empty tho.

That was 'empty' by my standards. Meaning it includes tools, spare parts, recovery gear, spare fluids, etc. I really only add at most a few hundred pounds for trips between cooler/food, camping gear, gas etc.

    Stuff. Also things.
How much does the new CVT hardshell weight?

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of a low to mid height lightweighted bed rack with a canvas cover supporting a hardshell RTT like yours. Not as awesome as a GFC or a Nest for standing up, but I think I can live without that. Lower weight and CG than what I have now, good access to the bed, but also keeps the bed contents out of the worst of the elements and mud.
