I can only guess that there has to be a delay between the 2. I am seeing a difference between coinbase and gdax. Coinbase seems to catch up to gdax numbers about 5 minutes later.

yes it has been mentioned before, different trading platforms

    No Standard Pricing
The primary explanation for discrepancies in bitcoin price across different exchanges is the fact that, as a decentralized digital currency, there is no standard or global bitcoin price at any given period of time. It isn't pegged to the USD or to any other fiat currency, nor is it linked to a particular country or to an exchange. As with commodities of all types, supply and demand vary depending upon the time and the market, and the price of bitcoin fluctuates as a result.

EDIT: you could buy ltc on bittrex for .18 ish and sell on gdax for .20-.21, easy money.

Arbitrage is difficult when computing fees and market volatility. People have crypto bots doing it automatically.

You would think if there were very many bots doing it, it would even out the markets?

Who out there sales the coins and buys at a cheaper price? WHO HOLDS THEM no matter what? Tell me why. I was very tempted to sale my LITECOINS earlier but did not. Not saying it's impossible BUT i don't see litecoin going back to the $62 per coin mark

When I'm all in I usually have a high sell order active (currently 500 on ltc) and if I have USD on the sidelines I have a low buy order in.

Just guessing at wtf I'm doing right now though.
If/when ltc hits 500 the plan is to pull my initial investment and just play with house money from here on out.

I'd buy more, but I don't think I'd sell, and this is why. But please someone enlighten me if I'm wrong.

    Hypothetical math:
    Bought 1 LTC for $100
    LTC climbs to $350
    Profit $250

Say you sold that 1 LTC for $350, it costs $5 in fees so you end up with $345.

    LTC drops to $335/ea.
You buy back in and get another $5 in fees for purchase of 1 LTC at $335 (actually spent $340USD).

You've now physically made $5 and done a whole lot of transactions.

yea unless you sell to your USD wallet and you'd only be hit with a 1.5% fee vs 4% for cc

but that isn't a good example of buying/selling since the profit isn't so high.

selling to your wallet is also only a $3 fee

True. I was just giving an example with made up fees and math. Right now it seems like the dips aren't near enough to make it profitable to go through the leg work to cash out. And one of the cardinal rules that I've read is "Don't try to time the dips".

And my fees have been 0 on GDAX.
The only time I paid a fee was when I transferred money from a CC to coinbase.
Transfer from cbase to gdax was free and all my buys and sells have been makers so no fee. Need to look in to fee for cashing out.

Finally got all my money wired over and purchased my coins last night. Took about 2.5 weeks from signing up to full verification and money transferred on Kraken.

    I havent done either...
I just started the process today of linking a bank account (with routing and acct. # NOT login and password)
Says it takes a few days and I should see a couple small test deposits to verify.

Not certain yet if there are fees to withdraw to bank account or transfer to binance.
Let me know what you find out as I'm interested in iota.
