    I’ve never understood why some people drive with them on. I guess it can happen that they accidentally hit the switch, but can’t imagine the idiot who actually turns them on to drive around lol

    The other day I didn’t notice my rear lights were on till my neighbor called me cause he was behind me the whole time and thought I was being a dick ... all reality I didn’t notice the switch was on

    ya i can see that happening, out there with all the light ya'll have i'd imagine its hard to tell if you have your light bars on. but can't say the same for out here unless your somewhere busy like down town Palm Springs or LQ.

    Does anyone actually do that though? I don't use my additional lights on streets but I've never been pulled over for not having covers. Lights have been uncovered for years

    All depends on the cop. I haven’t personally been stop or even asked about them or know anyone who has but there are stories out there. Chan had painters tape on his one day

    montclair pd is anal about roof mounted lights...I got pulled over 3 times before for not having covers on my old bar. Anything lower than my grill they have told me should also have covers but they’re not super anal about it as long as you’re not driving like a dick and have them on..

    Yea just don't drive through Big Bear, cops are dicks! Or at least one of them. Got my only ticket there for having uncovered lights. They were not even hooked up at the time!

    IMO that ^^^ has more weight than the type of cop. Being polite and cooperative goes a LOOOOOOONG way. You'd be surprised how being nice can turn a situation around. I've been pulled over countless times and have only been ticketed once, and that was for speeding. (Fun fact, the cop that gave me the ticket had a fresh black eye, so I think he was just mad that his wife slapped him around the night before. Had nothing to do with me doing 85 after a holiday weekend at Pisbro :rolleyes: )
