The doll house would be my recommendation in the maze and taking poison spring in. If you have time go to the maze over look and hike to the harvest scene. Horse shoe canyon north of the maze is sweet too.

 

Hello Wyomingites, new TW member here. First truck ever actually had to be a Taco. Been wanting one forever it seems like. Looking forward to learning as i dont know much about any of the truck world and i dont want to pay shops to do thing's i can learn. I'm down here in Cheyenne. I enjoy my fair share of camping and fishing but don't really have plans for off roading much.. more of a mall crawler build but, Wyoming style ha

 

Plenty of mods out there to make the truck a comfortable and fancy camping rig.

There's a nice 4x4 group down there. Not super active on here but there are a few in the area

I need some quick input. I did some video editing for a marketing company here in town. Long story short, I spent about 8-10 hours all together sifting through and editing footage. I was told the client loved it.

I was asked to send them an invoice but I don't even really know where to begin as far as price goes.

For reference, I did some filming and quick editing for about 2 hours and was given $125.

What seems like a fair price to you guys?

 

They didnt discuss a price before hand? No quoted amount for the production work on the video?
Guess you can charge as much as you want and if the customer doesen't like it take it back lol

No, it was never discussed beforehand. But definitely someone I would like to have a good business relationship with. There’s already been chat about throwing more stuff my way.

 

Somewhere I came across a discussion on how to ask for the salary you want in an interview. The technique to find the upper limit of what you think you are worth was to stand in front of a mirror and state the amount out loud. And to keep going higher until the statement makes you laugh.

It seems like this technique might be applicable to your situation.

I've been meaning to mention this to you...

 

It's hard to go down in price once you get going, but if it takes off it's easy to go up as demand increases. That said you also don't want to be to cheap. If you are getting everything you bid you are too cheap. I don't think in that field that $65-95/hr is an unreasonable place to start. I think people that are proficient at it are charging well into the $100s/hr.

As you charge more you also are spending less billable hours on it because the learning curve is bringing about less time wasted on mistakes and trial and error things.

Also taxes come into play as well if it's your first time working for yourself you will have to do your own witholding and you can expect a good 20-30% of that going to the gov't. That $65 quickly turns into $45 if you have no write offs against it.
