Just picked up a 08 tacoma, and im not inpressed with the fuel tank. Tried looking for a bigger fuel tank and have not found one. Before i go through the task at making one i was wondering if anyone else has found one. I believe i have a 15 gallon tank not sure though.

The stock fuel tank is 21 gallons. The only company that makes a larger tank for our truck is in Australia.

Saw that ausie build one. Rather pull my spare and build an auxilary tank. As far as range i like to do the white rim trail without refueling. Or forestry trails in Origon. Thinking about 40 extra gallon. If the stock one is 21 gallon everytime my fuel light comes on guage says i have 1/4 tank but only put 11 gallons in. On my 3rd tank since i owned it with 720 miles.

Something is messed up in your fuel level sender if your fuel gauge is reading a 1/4 tank when the gas light comes on and you're only putting in 11 gallons to fill it.
