    *** EDIT *** 1/31/18
Figured I'd change the premise of this thread for local (209) TWers. 925, 408, 916 and even 559 are welcome too, but I'd like to see if we can get a local thread going for meet ups, trail rides, wrenching sessions and/or beer consumption. Tag someone from the area and lets get the bullshit goin!

[Moved from original post in thread]

So... I pulled the trigger on ordering a bunch of parts. They, pretty much, all came in while I was in Washington State last week. I'm looking to make all the new parts replace the old (worn out) parts this weekend. But it's gunna take a whole lot of movin and groovin to make it all happen, and have my daily driver road worthy on Monday morning.

So... I'll throw it out there. If anyone is having withdrawls from turning a wrench and busting their knuckles, I've got your fix. If you want to hang out, have a beer, and shoot the shit, that's cool too.

Wish list to complete this weekend:
    Upper control arm install
    Lower ball joints
    Lower control arm bushings
    Front shock assemble
    All 4 corner shock install
    Sway bar bushing install
    Sway bar disconnect replace
    Add a leaf install

While I'm elbow deep in it... I will probably attempt the "Pinch weld mod" the "Remove the air box elbow from the fender well mod" and I have a deck plate on order for the "deck plate mod" but not sure if it will arrive in time.

I guess have a tendency to set unrealistic goals for myself. :notsure:

I have familia christmas parties to go to this weekend or I would swing by. Personally I would prioritize the list and be prepared to put the swaybar refresh, lca bushes and lbj swap off till the following weekend. If your lca bolts are rusted/frozen they will become a time sink. Chances are that everything will go smooth and ypu will get it all done, but you never know.

Do a driveway alignment on sunday so you can drive all week and a pro alignment on the following week after finishing up the lca stuff.

I'm totally with you on the LCA bushings and ball joints. My plan is to back it directly in to the garage Friday after work and start peeling back the layers to get to the UCA bolts, and try to get all the way to the point where the front shocks and UCAs are removed before I call it a night on Friday.

When I get the UCAs out and shocks removed, I will check the LCA alignment bolts. If they are stuck, I'll pass on them till next weekend. If they seem like they will give I will go ahead and move forward on them.

I will assess the situation on Saturday night and decide what I'm capable of getting done by Sunday night.

So... the LCA bushings became a major time sink today. We did manage to get them out and the Whiteline bushings installed. LCAs are installed and adjusted to my marks. UCAs are also installed... along with everything that had to be moved in the engine compartment, for the UCA bolts.

Not quite as much progress as I hoped, but moving in the right direction.

Sunday afternoon... putting everything back together... pull the parts out of the boxes (that were correctly marked with R and L part numbers) to find this...

You want to hear me screaming profanities? Because this is how you get me to scream profanities.
