If I have to run any wires under the truck, I like to use split loom on the wires then run that through a section of PVC conduit secured to the frame for extra protection.

The clear sprinkler system type hose works well also and it's flexible

That's even better when you need to route it through frame members. Great Idea!

I guess I'm a little too rigid in my thinking sometimes.

Finished some hood LEDs. Attached them to rare earth magnets to allow position adjustments. Stoked I finally found a use for this missle switch.

It's a trick we used running wires for salt spreaders through the frames of dumptrucks. It provides great protection from chafing and even some from heat. Actually run the wires through the hose then run the hose through the frame

Does the hood turn the switch off when you close it? If not you could probably reposition/rotate the switch so it would.

Nope. It’s out of the way from the hood. Wanted the switch manual. It has a flip cover when off.

Yessir, you can run them without headlights as well if you please or with high beams on. I used nd4spdbh’s write up for it

Ok, I was thinking if you had the switch place just right, the hood would close the flip cover and turn the switch off if you forgot to turn them off.

Nice idea in any case.

Damn right! They close the schools and buy up all the eggs, bread and beer as soon as the first few flakes start to fall here.

Schools around here will close at the threat of snow.

Oh I see what you're saying. Didn’t think of that, but wanted the LED more visible and the closure towards me. Felt better in that direction. Love flipping that thing. Appreciate the complement.

We have snow days. Out in the San Joaquin valley area (Fresno, CA), they have fog days.

Reason I'm asking is it would be great if the bed extender was designed by a sled guy (like snowmobiles). Maybe something like a Cat Z1 Turbo danglin' out the back for credibility points. Just sayin', don't wanna be left out in the cold.
