Wow, if you do purchase this, I hope they at least provide you with lube as a courtesy when you bend over and grab your ankles.

Holy shit, I just looked back at the list and the very bottom is a big question.
It has the price, plus shop supplies, plus tax, which adds up to the 1505.56, however, that line says Pre-Tax total.
    Something is not right here.

I’d probably go back with this list. The rest is pretty easy and can be done with very minimal tools.

Omg they tacked on a & $25 "shop charge" on top of the $1400! Then they charge you tax, and include it into their "pre-tax total".:rofl:

    BTW, welcome to Tacomaworld.

I just turned 30,000 miles on my truck 2 weeks ago. Am I supposed to get a notification from Toyota about this 30,000 mile service??

Just bought it in August with 28,000+ miles on it. Right after I bought it, I had oil change and regular service done at my regular place (GM dealership).

Do I need to contact a local Toyota dealer - not the one in Hawaii?????

    THANKS

The 25 dollar shop charge is to cover costs of rags, zip ties, spray cleaners, etc. That fee is on every ticket and 25 is actually pretty cheap.
But, yes, the tax thing is really concerning.

Id' say the only things on that list I'd want done if I wasn't able to do it myself would be all the drivetrain oil changes. everything else wouldn't cause you any problems. If you do end up paying that much for the service go over to the passenger side and put your floor mat upside down just to see if they change it. Also mark all your fluid levels prior to work and see if they actually top thing off.

The dealer is only good for when things break...and oil changes also but I'll probably get crap even saying that lol

What happened to running a vehicle for 20 years on the original gear oil?
That is definitely a bullshit service. Basically do it all yourself except a trans flush.....if thats actually what they would do.

I feel that the dealer is only good for providing a new vehicle for purchase. Everything else is sketchy.

One good thing about dealer work is it’s all recorded. So any services you do show up on a carfax. Helps with resale. I get my oil changes at the dealer.
