God damn that was a lot of catching up hahaha

So to revive an old topic.
I don't use tephlon tape I use the liquid pipe dope. Mostly because I have it in my work van. But I would never use tephlon tape on metal to metal threads cuz it just shreds it and leaks over time. Plastic to plastic might as well use it haha that's my opinion anyways. And @Redmann when u say u use both on gas line are u talking about natural gas? Cuz I know up here white tephlon tape is against code to use on gas cuz it's not approved for that. U need special tape, I think it's pink. But pipe dope u can use for sure.

@Lux I see all my old high school friends doing the same thing, parents money to travel the world. But kudos for paying ur way through college, I did the same thing and I'm proud of it haha it sucks paying off the student loans but meh they are almost paid off by now. Most of them don't have a career yet and they are approaching 30 in a few years. Not sure what their plans is once they stop traveling hahaha waiting to inherit I guess but that's not my style. I like to earn the money I spend. That being said, I also wouldn't turn down a big fat free cheque either hahahaha

@fatfurious2 u know already which Hannah I chose haha

I vote for either the EST logo patch or the reservoir dogs inspired one I really like it and it is also simple w/ not a lot of color. I feel like simplicity and black and white will help keep costs down

yeah natural gas. ours is yellow for gas, but i don't think it matters here. I used the gas rated stuff anyway. I had a convo about it with my plumber. He uses both, so do I. Metal to metal, isn't that what teflon was made for? I see your point in that it shreds, but I've never had a problem. Although maybe I'm not around long enough to see the problem happen? :notsure:

What do you do for work?

I feel ya on other peoples free ride thru life. It bugs the shit out of me too. I'm lucky enough to have parents who fronted half the money for my first car. I had to pay them back though. It made me a better me, along with other things I did in my life that I would rather not mention. :anonymous: Honestly, if I told you, you probably wouldn't believe me anyway.

I have different opinions on the whole college thing though. I feel everyone is taught that they NEED to go to college. not the case. trade schools are far cheaper, shorter, and you can make great money in the trades. OR no schooling at all, I didn't go to school to become an electrician or to flip houses... but, and this hearkens back to the parents money thing, I wouldn't have gotten my real estate investing career started without the help of my parents money.
