I bought a kit off Amazon it had the crime stopper remote starter and the ignition switch harness all you did was plug it between the ignition harness and switch. It also had the immobilizer module . warmcarnow.com super great instruction and saves lots of time by just plugging in.

I had a CompuStar 4900-s 2 way installed when my Leer Shell was put on. They were running a great deal for Black Friday. My only regret was not doing it sooner living here in Vermont.

A few mods here and there and counting....
Running Viper 5XXX two way remote start/security for just about 7 years and it has been flawless. Also have smartstart installed so the truck gps trackable via phone along with all the functions(lock, unlock, panic, remote start).

Which of these have the smallest remote? One reason I've never installed a remote start is because I don't want two remotes on my key ring (original Toyota one and the remote start remote).

I have this same kit, I got the one that tells you it started with beeps. I don’t have the lcd screen, didn’t seem necessary. I love it, no problems and it replaces your OEM key fob so your not carrying around two on your key chain.

Just get one that does it all. Not sure what system I have, but the fob replaced the OEM fob, bottom button is remote start, with an unused accessory button
