What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Bad previous experience. Terrible fit, didn't grip, no anchors, slid under the pedals constantly, wore out too quickly, material quality lacking.
The Husky by comparison is a beast.

 

Damn, that sounds rough! Your truck doesnt have the anchors?

 

There's a couple different grades of Huskys also. We have full Huskys throughout my wife's RAV4 and I have them in the front of my truck. The ones in my truck are softer and mold into the floor better hers are stiffer and more of a slicker plastic

 

Previous truck, '01 Ranger. Paid a lot for those mats and they were junk. I generally don't go back for seconds when a company has screwed me.
The Rangers used plastic auger screws to hold their OEM mats down. The WT did not. Kept sliding under the pedals, almost caused a few accidents.
Called WT and was basically told to shove it. Not a good idea considering I post a lot of reviews.

 

I see, that would frustrate me also.

 

Not today, but coming soon - retrofits, the big question is, paint the headlight bucket and shroud body color (Blue Ribbon Metallic), or gloss black, or something else entirely. I'm thinking BRM.

 

My opinion doesn't count for much but I think color matched to the blue ribbon would look really cool

 

Color matched and maybe a little bit of black. Whenever I end up having my cousin build me a set, that is what he wanted to do and I agreed it would look great. Then the only chrome left will be the rear bumper, so question is color match or black on the bumper.

 

Thanks guys, I'm thinking color matched as well, with the turn and side marker buckets being left chrome. I just ordered supplies from automotivetouchup.com to do it, let's hope my paint work comes out good.

 

Someday when all the bigger stuff is done on the truck I'd like to have the lights done black and white to match the truck

Great looking set up but please don’t trust that crimp! I’ve spliced Amsteel more times than I can count and you’d be much happier with a tuck splice. Would take about 20min to be fully spliced and with a clean whip finish wrap. Any local rope shop should be able to do it.

Good call, was counting on the fraps to take care of it. plus some duct tape is on it. Know any in the Waterloo On region? haha

 

Havent done anything with it yet, but got this in the mail.

 

Stopped to check the ice to see if it was thick enough to get out and fish on yet. Looked at the odo and it was parked perfectly on 75k. Not bad for an '05.
