Rear shock length

    looking into buying fox or king shocks. Does anyone know what size (collapsed , extended length) I would need with 2 inches of lift in the rear? Or maybe even the stock length and I can add 2 inches?

    Truck is in shop so can’t measure mine.

    It will work with the OEM replacement king shocks or extended travel ones. I ran them with my Dakar leaf packs. The specs for those are almost identical to the OME shock specs, and they are designed for a 2.75” lift.

    Another question was the ride smoother, the same, or stiffer on road with your kings? I am sure they will be great off road, but I live in Germany and traffic tends to move quick so ride quality is important to me.

    These are your best options. I am running them with 3" lift in rear paired with Deaver U402 Stage II Leafs

    I would say the ride is the same as stock Offroad on the street but handles harshers bumps and potholes awesomely and even better offroad.

    2" with what? Blocks, add a leaf or new leaf pack? I run fox 2.0 extended travel 3-5" lift with dakar leafs. Droop is critical for traction and cheaper than a locker.

    I run the 985-24-118 and can be stiff with the bed unload bc I run dakar leafs design to carry an additional 300 lbs. They are amazing around the 200-300 lb + bed weight can fly over speed bumps, wash board roads and handled a few 2' jumps.
