I was looking at some of their stuff when they had their Black Friday sale and it looks real nice. If making my own, I may end up with some of their joints and bushings on lowers. Unsure about uppers right now.

But if I make my own, it's a good ways away

Ballistic has the best joints on the market in my opinion, and that’s why I use them on everything. Make sure to buy their stupid $40 tool to tighten the joints though, because they come hand tight

x2, mine were fucked anyway and I had to put in new mounts that use the common 2-5/8 mounting.

Maybe I’m not trying hard enough, but I’ve legitimately never hit that spot in the last 6 years of wheeling.

I hit both rear link mounts and gas tank last weekend for the first time. Kind of surprised on it

Shopping carts not that high when you run them over at the mall? :p

I wish I could get out and wheel as much as you. Lucky if I could get 3-4 good trips a year if I pushed for it.

Definitely, this was a bitch to deal with and could have been prevented.

LOL, try harder? IDK, I clearly hit them all the time, maybe your are tucked up a little better?

Pretty much, I give zero fucks about smashing them now, but still get hung up on them and the gas tank skid most.

Yeah, about that, bolt was a bit too long and bottomed out on the gas skid so I spaced it out haha.

Ya I get hung up on my gas tank if anything. But that stopped when I put 37’s on sooo...

Now I just smash my front bumper into shit. That thing needs to go next year. First on the priority list. Chop the frame rails back. Have an actual approach angle

Mmmmmm, 37's. I am sure those make a big difference, that would give you 2 more inches of clearance than I have from the tires alone.

Thats a solid plan and a route I will go eventually, cutting those 1/4" fuckers off is going to be way worse than the mangled stockers.

Plasma cutter or nothing. Only thing I won’t use it on is tubbing the firewall hahahahha
My front bumper is a way bigger issue hahaha. But yes. Tank swap soon. My friend is almost done building his plasma table and then I can make cool shit

Yeah, I will definitely beg/borrow/steal one prior to taking that shit on again, I loathe using cuttoffs for EVERYTHING.

I hit the bottom. The old Savage design I have has enough space inside of it for a winch plate, but I don’t have a winch. So it’s just a big hole and about 6” from the end of the frame rails. I already did the shorter radiator and custom front skid, but I hit the bumper before I hit that stuff

I’ve got a real shitty approach angle. I smash my bumper on everything. Bought it used and the previous owner had a hitch put on it, which really sucks. One day I’ll sell it and get something with a better one.
