Agreed, I'd actually leave the whole thing in there and just every 5 years withdraw the interest and go get something awesome. Until you know for a fact you're safe from a Army request for your bonus back

Well guys, Im trying to get the last remaining parts figured out while my LT kit is being made. Since I am going to run 16's with the DMZ kit, is it safe to buy some 16 inch limit straps? I ask as I think limit straps will stretch an inch for every 12 inches and wasn't sure if 16 would be too long compared to a 15 inch strap, then again Im sure the fabricator could just mount the limit strap tab farther out regardless of the length.

You kinda answered your question in the last sentence. I would wait until you figure out where you want to mount them before you buy them. I want to say I ended up using a 20” strap just from where I ended up mounting them.

Yea I figured to some degree its probably just relative to how much you need it to droop to regardless of length, but figured it didn't hurt to ask as limit straps are pretty important in regards to a proper set up. Ah I didn't even think about that I might want longer as the strap will require more than 16 inches to cycle 16 from the shock. I have a bolt on bedcage so the shocks will be aligned from the top from the get go. I just assume it would be better to have the limit strap ready on hand when the install happens instead of coming to do it afterwards?

I just had Tim at dmz send me straps with my kit since it is his design anyways and he probably knows best in what to use with it. 18" straps with the adjustable clevis

Ah I didn't know he would send out straps with the rear! If that's the case then I will do just that! Thanks for the info man!

Yep. Tims a great guy to talk to and like I said, who better knows how to set up that kit than the man who designed it. I don't think it is stuff they normally stock or advertise, but it is certainly stuff that they order and use all of the time. For me it was the convenience and knowledge of having him order up and ship me everything I would need for my rear end, other than shocks. But he knew he wasn't going to be the quickest or best prices on shocks.

Yea I talk to Tim pretty regularly at this point as well as I don't have to even tell him my name anymore! He told me similar about shocks which is cool as my triples just got delivered last night so Im good there. I think he quoted me for all the stuff needed for the kit so I will give him a call sometime in the next week or so checking to see if he can throw the limit straps and hardware in as well. I would def prefer to get it from him though as like you said, he is the man for this kit.

I don't imagine many folks here would be interested, but don't know where else to really broadcast this...I got some fresh parts for when I remove my TC SUA midtravel kit so that it can be installed again with new spring perches. Not sure if any folks out there have a 2+ front or just want an SUA rear and don't want to go full blown LT?

I probably wont get my TC kit off until closer to the February/March time frame, but I would let it go for a pretty killer deal if someone might be interested.
