Got a 2014 Taco Sport and one of the fog light bulbs has burned out. I made the mistake of googling info on replacement and got lost in all the hype. I do a lot of foggy mountain driving. What is the best reasonably priced bulbs that I can buy that will plug into the oem lamps? Or should I just get a stock ones from the dealership?

I have Nokya Hyper Yellow (2500k) bulbs. My truck is nearly 10 years old, only on my second set.

Stock wattage H11s, look at Osram Nightbreakers or Philips Extreme. These are the best quality high performance stock wattage bulbs.

Stepping up the wattage a little on the factory system, Nokya clear 75w. Is the only over wattage clear H11s I'm aware of that I would run on a stock harness. @Unchained 5150 tried them out here, though was not as much of an improvement as was hoped:

If you really want to crank the power for maximum output, the 90w Flossers on a standalone harness that Unchained linked above.

Optilux are a complete garbage product IME. I cannot believe Hella even puts there name on that package. I will never buy them again.

I tried the Sylvania ZXE and saw no improvement over the factory bulbs.

I ordered the Rago Rigid replacement brackets, a harness from CaliRaised and I already had a set of D2 spots that I intend to use.

I only want and will use them for the fall hunting season, I drive almost 100 miles on a two lane county rd and deer are a huge problem.

I also don't plan on being one of the asses that drives around with every LED they own turned on.

My Optilux yellow H11's looked very similar in quality to the OEM bulbs and have been performing well so far. No complaints. I wonder if it's a totally different bulb/manufacturer than the size crashnburn used.

I agree regarding the Philips extremes. I've run both the +60 and +100. Both great bulbs. In theory, the 60's should last a little longer.

Curious, were your Optilux labeled as "Optilux" on the bulb base? In the link I posted you can see mine were not.

Yep, I saw that labeling on yours. I can't remember what mine said. Tomorrow, I'll pull one out and check. I'm also now curious.

Cool, I'd be interested to see. Might consider posting the response in that other thread.
