What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

The first option with Windows really needs a number pad - it doesn't work with the numbers on the top row, so I've never gotten it to work with a laptop (b/c I've never had a keyboard large enough to have room for one on the right). Not sure if it works when the "number pad" overlaps the keyboard in the J/K/L area.

 

I'd do a 5 speed swap too if I could afford it... put my poor auto out of it's misery lol.

 

$250 a month!? Damn here its like $100 a year if you live on campus and $200 if you live off campus.

 

If you go this route, here's where I mounted mine. Nice and easy to glance at without your eyes really leaving the road

 

Buddy of mine has Baja Design S2's mounted on his, looks nice and small and throw a ton of light. Also not a lot of people running them like that so +7 cool points

 

Moral of the story is that it's cheaper to go to college anywhere besides California haha

Cheaper pods, like around 100 a set I guess.

I plan on running these as ditch lights. Got them during the Black Friday sale ($50 rebate). Ended up paying around $140 for them:

I got Nilights from Amazon from a buddy who had them on his truck. They work well for being so cheap and I haven't had an issue with them. They are bright enough to light the ditches so I can look out for any rogue deer.

It'll be at least a month or two before I get my CBI brackets (along with my bumper!!!)...so I will not be able to mount them till then.

 

I still have to find a set of lights for my ditch brackets. I've decided to give them another shot (surprisingly neither bent in the rollover), but this time I'll put something with a more focused beam on them.

 

What did you have on them on the last truck? I've been thinking about getting ditch lights, seems like the only requirements are a lot of light at pretty close range.

 

I had some Totron pods I bought right before the whole cheaply produced chinese light pods thing took off. They have never leaked and still work fine but they don't throw light very far. I was going to use them as super close fill lights and mount them under the top plate of the bumper.

Finally installed my sway a way coilovers and light racing UCA. Came out to be 5.25” of lift from what it was originally. Probably need to back it down to 3” tomorrow. Here’s a before and after pictures.
