Hold it for 6 months and see how many times it multiplies in value. Don’t sell at a loss, it’s dumb to do that with a mainstream coin. You have to look at market graphs on a longer time period like 6 months to a year.

I tried to explain this same info multiple times in this thread. Its even in the OP, but thank you for posting this video! Its so important that it should be repeated many many times and this video does better justice to the explanation than I can through just typing.

That was basically my approach to it too. I'm already registered with FINRA, so how much worse could it be?

No its not dumb to get into altcoins. The point of that video is to track altcoins against bitcoin, not against the dollar. You want to get into the altcoins that are performing better than bitcoin.

I remember that. And since that post, I've been looking at it every time I check anything. Great advice.

when looking at charts on coinbase, when you see the altcoin/btc chart, I think in orange, if the altcoin is showing an upward trend compared to btc, then that altcoin is outperforming bitcoin.

What exchange is everyone using to buy Ripple/XRP? I've signed up for Kraken and Bitstamp a couple days ago but verification is taking forever

Ripple is blowing up right now! I'm tempted to get in but not sure if now is best since it's at an all time high... then again it could just continue climbing for some time now.

    Decisions :annoyed:

I'm in a different boat. I've been sitting on a bunch of Ripple for a while now so I'm debating trading it in on some Litecoin now that that's down.

It is still rather cheap, I'd throw some money towards it
Set a price and go with that!

It takes a long time. I used Kraken but I got in a few days before the rush three weeks ago. Still took over a week just for Tier 3.

I say go for it. I'm helping some friends get in today still. Japan banks will start testing Ripple today, it's only 0330 there. I bet it hits $1 by this weekend, maybe $2 by end of year and I wouldn't be surprised if it takes off from there. It's still in it's infancy.

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards too. Some people think that it may be one of the coins that will get listed on Coinbase, which I think would really pump the prices up too.

It just goes against my better judgement to buy at the high point, but if it continues to rocket I certainly don't want to be standing on the sidelines lol. I think I'll go ahead and get some money into it.
