Side question: Can anyone tell just by looks if this truck is lifted at all and if so what it might be lifted with? I dont have the eye for being able to tell if its lifted or if its just the pictures. Looks to me like its got bigger than stock tires but don't have any idea the size of them.

It looks like it has a little bit of lift, especially in the back.

    Thanks!

If its a small lift how would I be able to tell the type of lift its got on it? With minimal research I have read about spacer lifts for the front and will be looking for that but the rear how will I know if there is a leaf added or where would the spacer be added if its a spacer in the rear? I haven't seen a non lifted rear end to compare to be able to tell.

You would have to have a close-up pic to be sure what kind of lift. Can't tell anything from those pics.

Its been a while since I originally posted. After a 2 months of flipping decisions around with the wife our old Rav4 decided to act up for the last time. We started the hunt for a tacoma as we didn't trust the old Rav anymore to be our trip car. Luckily the father in law is a car salesman and can sell off any of the the companies used lots. They had quite a few used tacomas most were short beds but they had 2 long beds.

    Came home with this gem:
    2013 DoubleCab Long Bed 4x4 V6
    46k miles automatic
    Base Model with SR5 package
Came with an access tonneau cover, undercoating, all weather Toyota floor mats, and 265/75r16 Firestone Winterforce (1) tires.
Other than that its stock, going to be tinting the windows and plasti dipping some of the chrome black ASAP.

Truck was a one owner Canadian truck previously that made its way to Indiana.
    Numbers if you are interested:
Listed at 27,800 got it for 27,600 (Out the door). 2.58% interest rate. Trade value, 2k off list price, and the great interest rate were all better than we hoped.

Got the windows tinted the other day, 15% film all around. Sun was behind the house when I took the pictures so its not a great photo. Rears metered out just below 30% before film and were lighter once the 15% was on the front so instead of messing with trying to match the rears the guy just kept going with the 15%. My previous car metered out at 11%/10% so this is close to what I am use to.

Cans were just delivered as well for plastidipping the grill/back bumper and wheels black. I think I am going to dip all the badges in the grey plastidip since chrome is not something I care for. Will be doing that next weekend so I will post an update when thats done. As well as painting the calipers/drums black while the wheels are off.

Did a little Plastidip work yesterday to make this coming weekend a bit quicker with the wheels and brakes.
Grill is dipped all black, badges are dipped grey. Still need to do the back bumper black, there wasn't enough room in my garage to do both the front end and the rear end at the same time. I will take photos of everything later today in the light when I leave work.

Pictures I got the other day after putting the grill back on and a better shot of the badges. Really needs BHLM now.

I saw this notification in my email and thought "when in the hell will I be in South Dakota let alone see this guy there?!?!" so I googled it. Had no idea that place existed, I have only been in Indiana for a few years now so I don't know of anything other than Brown County and the dunes up by lake Michigan

My wife would flip on me if I told her I was going to take our brand new truck there haha

I might consider it, I really want to hit some trails or light offroading if I can get some non snow tires on it this spring.
Wife wants to do more camping this summer so I am trying to hint to stuff that is a little more off the beaten path to put the truck to good use.

Update on plasti dip. Got the garage to myself this weekend. Dipped the wheels and back bumper black. Cleaned off the salt as well.

    Update on my truck.
    - Added a new filter on the secondary air pump and removed the foam block inside. No damage to the fan blades and the foam was still intact but very dry probably wouldn't have been long before it started falling apart.
    - Added a hose clamp to the tailgate to secure it.
    - Installed a bed net attached to the bolts on the side boxes in the bed so I can place things in the bed of the truck without them sliding all over the place.
    - Earlier this spring I had the snow tires that were on the truck switched out with some Firestone Destination AT2's.
Ride is so much quieter and smoother than with the winter tires. I went with 265/75r16. You can see them a bit in the pics below. I had them mount the black lettering out to continue with the blacked out theme.
    - My wife got me a set of fog lights for my birthday and I installed them as soon as the weather warmed up. They make the front end look so much better than when it had the blanks.

We took the truck on its first glamping trip. The wife and I currently tent camp and met my parents for a weekend trip at a state park near us. (parents have a brand new cougar fifth-wheel that is practically a house). Since we split meals and my parents brought the firewood I was able to get all our needed gear under the tonneau cover. This wont be the case for future trips when its just the two of us.
I am considering a couple different options.
    1) Building a cargo conversion trailer out of a 5x10 cargo trailer that will fit inside our garage and hold all our stuff year round is the favored but most expensive choice.
    2) Buy a softoper to replace the tonneau cover and maybe a bedrack to go over it to haul our cooking tripod that is a few inches too long to fit in the bed.
    3) Just get a low profile bed rack and mount the tripod and maybe a few boxes on top of it to free up some bed space. Looking at the SOS LP bed rack but unsure if it will work with the access roll up tonneau cover at the same time.

Snagged a set of used 1.25" Bora spacers used from another member.
Painted the front calipers black and touched up some Plastidip on the wheels
The 1.25" extra width on the tires is great but now my fronts rub on the OEM mud flaps.
(265/75r16 on stock wheel with 1.25" spacer)
Now I am debating taking the flaps off or looking for something aftermarket that wont rub.
