https://gate.io/signup/636410 (referral link, 10% off trading fees for 6 months)

It has USDT -> XRP or BTC -> XRP

I use gate.io to purchase my alts. No verification needed, quick registration, user-friendly interface. Seems to not be clogged with congestion during peak hours. This means you can still make transactions while other mainstream platforms are clogged with traffic.

I purchased ETH on coinbase and then transferred over to Bitstamp. Only thing I regret is not thinking of doing that when it was .22.

    Jumped in at .40.

well, I was thinking jumping in at .22... but the Credit card portal wouldn't take my Credit card.

Wish I would've thought about transferring over from coinbase then..

Ripple (XRP) is being really hyped right now for many future possibilities.
    1) 37 Asia banks implementing Ripple for transactions.
    2) Possibility that it will be added to Coinbase

The problem with these is that they are speculative. Will the Asia banks actually adopt the Ripple technology? We will find out tomorrow. Will Coinbase add Ripple to their coins? No one knows. Another problem I see is the amount of Ripple available: 38,739,144,847 XRP. I expect Ripple to have a similar run that IOTA had, it will most likely stabilize at $1-3 and meet resistance. However, whatever coin gets added to Coinbase will explode indefinitely.

    https://coinmarketcap.com/

Filter Coinmarketcap by "Circulating Supply" and note the prices of all the coins with high supply. Most are under $1 or even under .50c

Filter Coinmarketcap by "Circulating Supply" and note the prices of all the coins with low supply. Most are >$100.

Definitely, that's the big money question. Which one will become the main stream? Ripple's transactions are much cheaper and transaction times are so much faster than others. I've seen estimates that it will save banks Billions in transactions fees.

Remember though, at the end of the year the Circulating Supply of Ripple will be cut dramatically with Ripple putting 55 BILLION XRP into an Escrow account, basically taking them off the market.

Whats the point of putting them into an escrow account?

So if it goes off the market, no more purchasing xrp?

“We partnered with Ripple because of their strength bringing financial institutions together. Ripple’s lockup of its 55 billion XRP with a cryptographic supply schedule is a clear signal that they are serious about building and maintaining a long-term, healthy ecosystem for XRP based applications,” says Mike Belshe, Co-founder & CEO of Bitgo.

I guess that's the best way to look at it in simple terms.

Precisely... that's my view of it at least. Less Supply with more Demand makes for a valuable investment.

My only question is.... currently the Circulating Supply is around 38B... So where is that 55B coming from? Do they already have it? Do they have some and will be taking more off the market?

    I have no clue.
