Good luck with that nighhawk. Neighbors have it and Everytime the Xbox goes online 5ghz shuts off. Xbox is on a wired connection. It's being sold and upgraded to asus here shortly as we've been messing with it for day's with no luck.

Weird, ive had zero issues on 5ghz. I was gaming last night and streaming while Jerome was doing the same on 2.4.

Id say they need to upgrade the firmware and make sure the config is good. I haven't done any packet prioritizing at all either.

I've spent at least 4 hours messing with it. Here's the odd thing, the xbox is wired directly into the router. Not wireless. As soon as xbox makes connection, 5ghz goes down even though it's not using 5ghz. The xbox is the only wired device that is plugged into the router that takes down the 5ghz. Firmware is updated, factory reset, and I'm about to see if DDWRT or Tomato works on it.

Put the xbox on the 5ghz network vs cable and it works fine.

Neatgear routers suck. Always have, always will IMO.

I thought a little bit more about this, and I wanted to sound off real quick. It's not an easy thing to deal with for anyone involved.

However, if you feel you need to reset your doggie karma, consider making a donation to a rescue instead. Not for them (don't even tell them), but for you. You may not be able to change the past, but you could have a small part in a chance to turn around or lessen the suffering of another dog.
The only really good rescue I know off the top of my head is in PA, "home at last dog rescue" https://homeatlastdogrescue.com/
They help sad or lonely doggies find a forever home- pups from unwanted litters, rescues from neglect, situations where the owner passed, special needs dogs (deaf or diabetic) and so on.
I just mentioned them because I know a few of their volunteers, feel no obligation to that specific one.

Yes I live across the street from a few special snowflakes.
One is a guy who has serious anger management issues and will blow up screaming obscenities and throwing shit around, but not very often.
Next to him is a pair of Chinese college kids who are living high off daddy's money, driving around a BMW i8 and a riced-out GTR with a stupid wing and nauseating wrap job... they scream at their video games at all hours of the day, but now that it's cold out they keep their windows shut.
And then next to them is motorcycle guy who I've already called the cops on for revving up a harley and blasting music while clearly drunk at 4 AM, and now he has a lady friend who has lost her shit and has been intermittently prowling the neighborhood and kicking in his garage door.

    :help:
