    Too few to list.
The 2nd and 3rd Gens are not that different. I'm sure if the 2nd Gens can have a locker anytime mod and VSC/ABS disable switch that the 3rd Gen can be figured out as well.

I like the Tacoma, but it's no different than any other 4x4 on snow. As others have said, tires will make the biggest difference.

Difference between a full and mid size will be negligible. One thing I loved about my old full size is that it didn't get jostled around as much when going through slush. It was way more planted. I'd imagine a 3/4 ton diesel would do even better. If snow driving is your only concern, then I would just buy new tires for your truck and keep it. Those Chev diesels are nice trucks.

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
Does the abs kill switch mod work on gen3 like it did on the gen2? Using the fake diff lock to kill abs.

I have no idea if anyone has experimented with that on a 3rd Gen yet.

I drove a 3/4 ton Duramax when I worked in North Dakota and it was fine. Only thing I did was upgrade the tires so I can handle the winters and the summers when it got to be mud and slush.

OE tires were pretty good, but the Duratracs I replaced them with are better.
I have to agree though, that's there's nothing better for winter conditions than a winter tire like Blizzak etc.

The nice thing about A/Ts is that there's no seasonal swapping out (not that it's a BIG deal). Just run 'em till they're toast.

I think it's great in the snow even with the stock tires. Up in Tahoe in about 6" of new snow, I was testing out the handling in a hilly neighborhood. The traction control worked really nice. In 2wd you could stomp the gas and the rear would slip out maybe 6" but then the auto LSD kicked in and TRAC and it gripped and pulled up the hill from a dead stop. It was even controled same scenario turning left uphill at a stop sign.

Tried it in 4wd and obviously gripped and pulled away much quicker.

I was honestly surprised at how good the Tacoma is in the snow. The only time I use 4WD is to get unstuck out of parking spots or if it was getting really thick on the ground and my rear tires started coming loose. But yeah, it got me in and out of Tahoe in one of the worst blizzards they've ever had last year. Roads were closed then opened, power was going out. Tacoma was unstoppable though. Much better than the Subaru I had before, even in 2WD!

If you want to do neat stunts on snow, get some KO2’s for your Taco! I love mine for off-road and wet road driving, but not on snow. Luckily, I’m in So Cal and don’t ski anymore- the desert is mine and my KO2’s.

100% stock. Cruising the forest service roads, with maybe 12" of snow. Deep enough that I was pushing snow with the front bumper at times.

What is this snow you speak of? We've been in the 80's for the last week.

Does everyone rush to the grocery and wipe out the bread and milk when 1/2" is predicted like they do here? I've owned my truck for over 2 years and I'm still waiting to see how it does in the white stuff.

What is this snow you speak of, we haven't seen any real snow to speak of around here yet this year. I can say that My 06 Tacoma got around fine even offroad in deep snow. This will be my first winter with the 3rd gen...

DCLB TRD OR '17 drives great in snow with stock tires. I think the long bed which translates into longer than average wheel-base improves slick condition handling.

How about the sr without a locker? I know I was not impressed with the hankooks that came stock. Backing in the yard in 4 in of snow n watched the back tire going around while I say still. Didn't even throw any snow. To the trucks defence i was just playing. Do the trucks without a locker have the e locker like the tundra?

It does not snow much in the Tropic of Cancer.

The dirt gets slick though, when it rains.

It' between the Blue Taco and the Wife's X3 for our upcoming trip to Utah. I want know the X3 is better on lightly covered roads etc, however, if we want to go exploring etc the Tacoma is the way to go.
