What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

How does one pop off the end of the CAI? Asking for a friend...


To be fair, I just don't want to break the whole damn thing.

 

I ordered some cal trend rear neosupreme seat covers to match my front ones. I orginally used a "dog hammock" seat cover but getting under the seats is always a pain...
Mine are all black but here is a reference photo...

 

Did a bit of rewiring. Used the new fuse/relay panel and still had to use 2 additional relays. Ill make a panel for it some day....
Now, I can use electric horns alone or in combo with air. Bumper bar white light comes on with high beams and amber comes on with a switch in the dash. Along with all the other things that required fuses and relays.
I did break the switch for the roof bar while pulling it from the dash, now it is only functioning as a momentary switch. Guess I need to order new switches one of these days.
Dont mind the mess if wires, they will get bundled up and wrapped.

 

ditched the chrome grille for an OEM colormatched one, ordered it the other day & it showed up today.

 

do you have a link for your headlights? or are they retrofits

This looks to good to be true....anyone have any opinions? I know here after the holidays I'm going with 5100 all around and new coils in the front to swap out the crappy RC spacer lift

 

Skyjacker not exactly famous or popular in the Tacoma world. Not much info on those leaves....and VERY little actual hands on from anyone who's opinion carries any weight....which may speak louder than what is known..

If they were good and reasonably priced, they would be well known.

 

I was reading some reviews and theyre all good...but I agree with you and being said I never see skyjacker in TW and the price seems to good to be true

 

They could be OK.

 

Installed Cali Raised ditch brackets and their side projecting ditch lights. Didn't have enough time to wire it up. The oem like switch is pretty sweet. Just need to shorten the harness as its a bit long. I have the ditch lights mounted low by flipping the mounting bracket around. Kinda dig it. Hardest part was trimming the cowl. Did it with a fresh razor blade by scoring it few times and snapping it off.

 

Look at the old man emu Dakar springs from @wheelers off road! They are great quick shipping and you can get all the parts you need as well one stop shop.

 

I will either do the full pack or go with the Progressive HS AAL, whichever my wallet likes best haha

 

Today I did the temperature directional compass fix where you take it down and reheat the solder. It worked and while I was in there, I installed the auto dimming mirror from an 06 tundra. I wanted to make my map lights to come on with the dome light, but I am unsuccessful at this time.

 

Would you say that the bed extender would not work with the mid-height KB Voodoo rack because it won't clear the rack when flipping it in and out?

Once I get my shortbed mid-height rack for my DCLB, I'll post pics of it, and I'll be sure to get a few showing the clearance with the rear-third of my tri-fold tonneau and bed extender.

 

Because the rack doesn't go all the way t the back of the bed, I think it does clear. But don't quote me, and I don't have a Tacoma anymore to check it.
