That's the ideal setup for inconspicuously dumping dead hookers out the back while speeding down a dark country road. But if you don't remember to remove your hitch first...well, really bad.

So the check engine light in the CRV turned off today. Smog shop ran the code and found P0420 (always been the solution before :rasta:) inefficient catalytic converter.

Cleared the code. But will the smog shop still see the code? Don't I need to run the computer through a cycle first? Or something like that...

Maybe 4 or 5 days for good measure then. And take the scenic routes.

You need to drive it ~50 miles. Try fuel system cleaner and 91 octane while you do.

My smog guy said there is a sequence of key speeds, intervals and stops that you have to complete after clearing the CEL or dead battery. I’d drive it for 3 days of 100-200 miles (like you did today) and it should be good. Dealt with that on my Tundra when it needed O2 sensors replaced.
