    I'm curious also, Anyone know any TW member that has a methonal setup at sea level with the 3.4??
    I'm at 6000 feet and my methanol system works like a dream with a 2" pulley and 10 pounds of boost with a number 2 nozzel
    Zero ping and starts progressive spraying at 4.5 pounds of boost up.

    Well, get it installed with the stock pulley and see if it pings in the high rpm range or the low rpm range. If it pings in the high range and not the low range then the methanol kit will work, but
    if it pings in the low rpm range 2500 then you might have to go with the 7th injection kit.

    What sucks is that if it does ping in low range I’m going to have to pull it off and wait a while until I can gather funds for the kit and a tune. I’m not paying someone to install it.

    Well,you can get a bigger pulley instead, its very easy to install and take off btw

    And make sure u get new plugs for the supercharger to help with ping

    The plugs will help suppress pinging so it helps stop pinging for a lot of the 3.4 motors

    Methanol: Methanol has a higher octane level compared to gasoline (allowing an increased compression ratio), contains 50 percent oxygen by mass (requiring a much richer air/fuel ratio), and has a reduced latent heat of evaporation (which cools the incoming air/fuel charge and allows a denser mixture). The net effect is to require a plug that’s at least one step colder than normal for an equivalent gasoline-fueled application.

    Yeah, I saw that as well. I also just read a thread on custom tacos about these plugs. Also, I placed on order for the plugs at the advanced auto here, with a 30% off coupon.....my carrier bearing won’t make it this weekend so I might install the S/C to see how it works. Another shipping issue I ran into is that the wideband won’t be delivered until Saturday either....USPS sucks. 2 different late orders. Don’t even get me started on their customer service and the god awful automated phone service.

    I have been from 1000 feet up to 8500 feet and it pings between 2500 and 3000 rpms.

    It pings louder at the lower elevations, but is still manageable to work around. I just want to be able to drive this truck on the HI way without staring at the temp gauge all of the time.

    Another question, what is the timing for you guys that have a way of seeing it? Mine is running between 30 and 20 cruising at Hi way speeds and drops down to 15 to 10 at WOT and boosting.

    Mmmm, never had any heating issues before ever!! Or these ping issues in the lower rpm area.

    Do you have an OEM engine oil cooler on the drivers side under the exhaust manifold??
