I bought it used and only one of the ladder straps have broke. It's a solid tent

Ya I broke the two side straps twice and the weather cover straps which now stay closed cause I zap strap them

I'm not worried about the ladder strap though because the cover and 2 weather cover straps keep it down anyways.

I'm actually surprised I haven't broken that one but I figured I'd use a ratchet strap if I broke that one

You could have the tent unfold off the other side to avoid conflict with the awning.

That is what I was dealing with. I bought an adjustable height spare tire mount from Billy at BruteForceFab, so I will be able to lower my spare if needed. My Tent is 7" longer than a long bed, so I needed cab height, to match my Prinsu, but also didnt want it to be too high. I had it mounted on a cap, but I thought that was too high. The adjustable spare height will be useful

I already have them opposite but I'd be concerned about the tent an awning contacting with the xl.... it's all for not because I talked with the wife and decided the size is good cause we can for me her and the dog inside comfortably were just gonna go to the ruggedized

I have my awning mounted to open off the same side as the tent. It is mounted on the cab and pushed forward just enough to not cause interference. The tent is mounted on midheight bed bars and pretty close to the back of the cab.

My cover zipper is super dicked it's taken me up to 5 minutes just to get the dam thing zipped up cause sometimes the zips don't align. I was going to get a new cover but I'll just gonna upgrade my tent instead lol

Ya I broke the zipper puller thingy and have been using zap straps for a year and a half lol I also find waxing or using tri flow on the zipper helps it's worse in the summer when it's all caked in dust
