Whats up guys, I was just wondering what websites do you guys recommend where I can buy the TRD PRO grill? Most of us dont like the chrome grill or dont like chrome at all. I want to get rid of the chrome as fast as possible.

Most of the Toyota dealers stock them now. Price is similar at most. Be aware they may ask you if you are “bro” and what the best tires are before they’ll sell you one. The answers are “mos def” and “K02”

Unknown lift, maybe 2" I don't know how to ID it, and would rather set it back to stock.

It’s a running joke that all bros run KO2s and have Pro grills. The KO2s are nice and the pro grill is tits so don’t worry about it if that’s what you like. I would take a look at the Falken ATW3 also. I just purchased a set and like them a lot and way cheaper then KO2s. As for a grill i just purchased a Chinese TRD Pro grill for a quarter of the price on eBay. There’s a running thread about the Chinese one if you look on the third gen section. Here are some pics of mine.

OP, I am not a Bro and like my cheese garter grill, to each his own. However, try your dealer or a any dealer's website. Ebay for the knock-off ~$150 I believe. Here is one for $120 before shipping with a google search - https://www.ebay.com/i/182854138418?chn=ps

    Hope this helps future Bro

Not really my intention......I think it’s cool if anyone wants to mod their truck. I have k-bro2’s now myself, so can’t judge.

However, I do find it amusing that although people are being brave and changing the look of their truck, there is a standard “uniform” that you see on TW, with an extremely narrow selection of identical items added to almost all the trucks, even if those items serve no purpose for the owner. Some of these items are so commonplace, that they don’t even need a full description, I.E. “my Prinsu showed up in the mail, got my Squadrons installed yesterday”. It appears strangely conformist, to me, which I suppose goes along with it being Toyota owners and not the low-rider, or fantasy van crowd.

I hear what you are saying but on the other hand, when a mod looks good, a lot of people are going to adopt it. When I first saw the Prinsu rack I thought it looked absolutely fantastic and that was before I started reading all of the threads about it. I would say the same about the TRD Pro grill. I don't believe it's any more conformist than saying Scarlett Johansson is hot. A lot of people will agree with that. Now if you are adding these mods just because everyone else on the forum has then...

If you see something you like, you buy it, very simple. The same can be said of guys purchasing Toyota's. Why not a Nissan or a Ford, etc... Or why buy the same wheels someone else has or the same tires. Granted a lot of the examples are based on quality and proven performance, but at it's core, you're still conforming. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

I'll agree that when I'm driving around I can spot a TW member from a mile away with some of the common mods such as Prinsu, but folks who just buy stuff because others do are gonna do that no matter what. I have done exactly one purely cosmetic mod - tailgate letters. Aside from that, I look to TW for good products that others stand behind and recommend from an enthusiast forum. I was looking for a heavy duty rack that would carry boats and hold up offroad while also enhancing the look of the truck - Prinsu hit the mark for me and I have been very pleased w/ it's performance. I wanted some good seat covers I could wash easily that wouldn't get funky when I get in all wet from a day of paddling - got some good recommendation on the CoverKings and a discount deal on Costco that saved me hundreds... I have a SSM and the more I've driven it in the last year, the cheese grater isn't horrid to me any longer, at least against silver. On most other colors I do think it looks terrible and should be swapped but it kind of works imo on Silver.

I'm fine w/ being a conformist in the sense of learning from other's experiences in terms of what is a quality product vs. not and going with the products that have a strong following due to how they hold up and their utility.
