    My buddy and I were saying today that it’s been 15+ years of winter surfing on the northeast for us and somethings got to give. Definitely gets harder as the years go on

    Makes me cold just thinking about it!!

    Trying to claw at the water when you can't move your fingers......the worst!!

    In a little over a month I'll be in Guam with the hopes of some decent swell. Pretty sure the water will be tolerable there. :rolleyes:

    Haha i hope it was the best day ever...no warmer doesnt always make it better...but ice in the beard is where I guess I would give up...i grew up surfing san fran, so I am accustom to asking strangers to remove my key from my wetty and start my truck and put the heat on high for me, but ice in the face...he obviously really loves the water...

    Edit read that wrong, yep guess good surf does make you forget the cold

    It's always funny the looks you get when you ask someone to do that...my face was alway frozen too cause I hate hoods. So it would sound like I had a speech impediment when I ask for help n they look at you like thiso_O

    I learned how to surf on Lake Michigan. That ice beard is a good one, but that's normal out there in the winter. And no, the waves are never good enough for that, but we went anyway. Now I live in SD and treasure my infrequent coldwater sessions.

    yeah I made the mistake of coming through the sentry line without it one time.... cost me about 4 hours of waiting to have my car searched for all of 30 seconds..... power tripping border patrol.
