Alabama thread!

Well wife’s been out of town all week. Hopefully, I went above and beyond while she was gone! House cleaned top to bottom, all laundry done and put away, groceries purchased, all dishes clean, some Christmas purchases wrapped, a few random errands that I was asked to do and hopefully both kids studied enough to ace their math and spelling tests. Only thing left to do is give the dog a bath.

 

We need to plan a ride some where???

 

My son has been begging to go watch Star Wars because he has seen so many commercials on it. I have no idea where he got this desire, I have never even watched star wars

I made my son watch from the beginning starting with a New Hope so that he would understand the story line. Yoda is his favorite!

 

nice. i retired my old sony from the late 90s into the garage a few years ago, and replaced it with a refurbished denon. ihave been pretty happy. its not as nice as yours though so you should be good to go.

 

I can proudly say I have never seen any Star Wars. Bits and pieces here and there through the years, but I have never sat down on purpose to watch any. They never appealed to me and I don't have any intentions of watching them.

 

HAHA! Same with those as well. The only reason I have seen any Lord of the Rings is because one came out on DVD when I was working in Electronics at K-Mart so I had to play it over and over so I didn't have much choice but to see it. As for Harry Potter, never have never will.

Not quite in the same class as my old amps, but alas, times change....

 

It sucks that my Yamaha RX-A2000 died after 7 years. My 16yo Yamaha RX-V1000 is still going strong, but no HDMI.

 

does it make you cool to not see popular shows or movies?

 

the subwoofer preouts on the sony dont work, but other than that its still kickin. i definitely wouldnt trust a new one to last as long though.

 

Oh man, I am way out of the loop for TV shows. I have about 5 go to shows that I watch, outside of sports. I will watch other things if nothing else is on but if Big Bang Theory, Dude You're Screwed, Dual Survival, Family Guy, or any of the old school 4x4 shows are on, they get my full attention. I use to be a big TWD fan, but that shit got so old and repetitive so I'm out on that now.

 

Lord of the Rings is good guys! We just started watching Harry Potter. My son wanted to check them out. I’ll have to say they sucked till movie 3 or 4 then it got better. At first I was like WTH these suck ass!

 

It must. I don't watch the "popular" stuff either!
