I have seen that. I was hesitant. It sounded like a lot more cutting and modding Than I wanted to do. You guys are kind of making me sway that way.

I think I’m going to start calling places after the holidays and start asking questions. I’m doing it. Just not sure what “it” is.

Was it a JK, i thought that those were pretty solid crawlers/wheelers, depending on the build?

You're talking about more extreme stuff than those pix right?
Off the bat I would think that a SAS would be a better first step than an atlas or marlin, you need articulation over torque.
Or just put in a front locker and manual hubs so you can still steer.

So I want to keep ifs until I pay it off. I got rid of the Jeep because it was so wandery on the road. I love the way the taco drives. I’ve done level 5 rated trails with stock tires so expect it to be very capable with 35s.

A jk with a shit aligment drive terrible on the road. Most owners do not have a good enough alignment and never replace with adjustable front upper and lower control arms. Anyway.. i have 07 Taco and about to SAS with. Diamond front housing with RCV axles, Zip locker and 4.88 after close to 8k in parts Im still on the fence about just buying a doubler to complete the build ONCE while apart.

I thought the older tacos had more options, like adapter options for double cases Or a d300.

Sas is the way to go.

You may not realize this but, you just bumped a thread that is 3 years old and the last time OP posted on TW was over 2 years ago.
