Myself and a few people use it on here. I've said it before, but I like the simple registration, low traffic, unique coins, and low fees. It also supports forks and crypto dividends like NEO - Gas.

It's not very popular. And I believe Binance has lower fees and more coins, but way higher traffic.

I've got a referral link if you want to sign up for less fees (no one used it yet).

If you or nobody else has done it by then, give me until after Christmas and I'll devote a $100 bill and a few days to the cause and do just that. I'll buy in, send to Binance, do some trades, and cash out. Because I'm curious too.

I did already successfully withdraw my original investment through Coinbase, and it only took about three business days to post back to my bank account in full. So at the very least, you could transfer to Coinbase and withdraw from there.

Interested on what kind of rigs folks are building for mining. From my research, the majority of miners have zero experience with PC building. I on the other hand, built computers as a hobby growing up. For the last 10years I've been a software / hardware consultant for engineers who design and build out small and large CPU / GPU farms for media production. So I've seen allot of clever solutions and have regular exposure to the latest hardware technologies out there.

Wondering what experienced miners consider simple build vs. Ferrari build looks like for crypto mining. Using this research to ultimately design my own rig. What resources do miners on here use for your builds?

    Thanks,

Thanks, any idea what mining software lets you control how the CPU and GPU are leveraged? I have some older Xeon rigs not doing anything at the moment I'm thinking about experimenting with. I can start with Windows, but ultimately I will build out a Linux system.

You're right about my posts in regards to fee percentages. They were unintentionally misleading. I should have clarified that it was a relative percentage. That doesn't negate its significance but it's an important distinction if you want to fully understand the issue.
As far as anyone hating you.... I don't know for sure where you're coming from but you've posted nothing that should make anyone hate you so if they do, I'd say that's on them not you. I certainly don't. :D

Depends on what you mean by this. :p

I have no issue with anyone in this thread but I'll stand by my recommendation to stay far away from binance unless you have a rather large chunk of money that you don't care about at all.

Delta is another option, I like it better than Blockfolio. They both do the same thing, but the layout looks cleaner imo.

Pretty sure Im the only one mining here. Everyone else is just playing the markets (which I am to, to be fair).

    As for your question

Simple Build - Single/Dual gpu using only motherboard (ie 2 pci-e x16/x8 slots)
Medium Build - 6 GPU rig using risers and one/two power supplies.
    Biggest Build - 12gpu build

It really isn't hard to setup a rig to mine. Where it starts getting a bit more complicated is when you start going for modding gpu bios and undervolting and that sort of stuff.

Most "farms" you will see with miners are a bunch of 6-12gpu rigs. Getting support for more than 12gpus on a single motherboard/OS can be difficult.

If you were building and didn't want to jump in full build with a 6gpu rig....you can plan around a 6 gpu build but scale back on the PSU and obviously not buy the GPU's till you want to.

Im just waiting on parts now and ill have a 6gpu rig and another single gpu rig going in the next week or so >.>

The thought has crossed my mind. My brother is away at west point and has a pretty nice computer he had built years ago. I will run it by him and may get with you on what all I will need. Wouldn't hurt to mine with it since it is not being used

Yep. I've done the same with coinbase and gdax and feel much more comfortable with them. I'd recommend doing everything you can on the gdax side of things to save fees and then use coinbase for what you have to.

    Thanks for that input!

The fees are similar for Bittrex and Gate.io. Let us know what you find though, interested to hear
