The main thing to look at is payout schedules for whatever you want to mine. If it takes you 45 days days to get a payout , that's a long time to go with having to mine. If you stop (stop as in never mine it again yo can stop mining and come back to the same payout level) before the payout you lose everything. VS if you get paid every 7 days its not as big of a hit if you do have to stop or there is an issue. Kind of why mining smaller coins is better if you don't have a lot of power. Youll earn more coins and payouts are generally more often

Interesting that your the only on on here mining..

You make it sound simple. I used to mod back in the day when the fastest processor I had at the time was 90mhz and I was able to push it to 120mhz.. lol I burned through a few of them in the process of experimentation which led me to buy more and more fans.. eventually ended up with a rig with 12 fans. These days liquid cool is the way to go for over clocking.

Your using Intel cpu's? Is there any data on AMD's? What GPU's are you working with?

In part of my defense, that was copied and pasted, I didn't actually word that.
None the less I'll take the hit for the mistake and own it.

So I need to change binance to "Japanese based" correct?

    What number scam? elaborate?

FYI to everyone AGAIN , PM me if you see incorrect info in OP that needs changing, it will help me keep track... The threads moving so fast I may miss something, I have a lot of catching up to do, I've been primarily bed ridden since after surgery the other day.

    Thanks Dudes:thumbsup:

the basic setup is really pretty simple. CPU mining isn't all that popular so most rigs people are only using cheap, low TDP cpu's. you just don't get as much hash power from a cpu as you do a gpu, especially for the money. But yes im using an intel cpu. The GPU's im using right now are a R9 290 and a RX470. I have 5 more R9 290's coming though. Im only using them cause the cost of them is significantly lower than a 470/1060/580/vega/titan. Basically the ROI will be made up rather quickly instead of taking a few more months if I had gone with others.

Yea that was me calling them China based, just found HQ was in Hong-King :D

But, I wouldn't put "high fees" in Binance. It has pretty reasonable fees as long as you understand how they work. Bittrex, Gate.io, etc, all have their own fee systems as well. Additionally, binance/gate.io offer referral programs which discount the fees, so if you can recruit people, it's even better.

Honestly, binance seems to be the gold standard as of now for trading alts.

I would, but that introduction video was absolute horse shit honestly. Did not define the product whatsoever. I didn't look into it past the intro vid however.

What's the benefit of it over Monero? It's at a good price, but it's up %277 in the past few days.

There is no scam from Binance, he misunderstood the way you sell the coins to either BTC, ETH and LTC. The ratios are so low for the cheaper coins I.E. IOTA/BTC that you can't sell a fraction of IOTA to BTC. You can put Hong Kong based lol it really was just me pointing it out, no big deal

This has been somewhat mitigated since my original outburst.:D

Thanks to @Rattletrap66 it's been proven to be related to the relative values of the trading pairs and the subsequent values of decimal places.

It still can have a detrimental affect on smaller funds.

As of right now, I'd sum things up by saying that it's not profitable to trade in sub $100 values (not sure about the dollar amount) with any of the more obscure coins. It seems that most coins other than bitcoin, ether, litecoin (others?) are only available on sites that deal solely with cryptocurrencies and that charge significant enough fees that small investments get eaten up by them.

A flat fee can be a huge benefit if you're dealing with large amounts or a huge detriment if you're dealing with smaller amounts.
To illustrate with extremes, a flat fee of $10 is much better than a 1% fee if you're talking about $10,000. $10 vs $100.
If you're talking about $100 though, I'd rather pay the 1%($1) than a flat $10.

Its interesting how AMD excels at hashing but struggles with graphics compared to an NVIDIA.

Have you looked at Ai (ASIC) miners?

I wouldn't say AMD is better than Nvidia GPU wise. Really depends on what you are mining. Some coins AMD is better, others Nvidia is better. Then comes power use. AMD tend to use more watts per hash. The Nvidia 1060 is a great entry card and is pretty low power wise.

I don't overly know anything about ASIC miners other than they tend to be expensive

Same basis as Monero, just cheaper. John McFaffee just made a short post about it
