    Red Velvet is pretty good. Best is still Cherry IMO then Brown Sugar Cinnamon. Pumpkin pie is great too but seasonal:rant:

    6', 195, and as active as you are, I can promise you're not going to be able to bulk at 3850 calories. I'm 5'11'', 220 and my only activity is the gym and I bulk at 4500.

    Upping your sodium isn't going to do anything but make you hold more water. The lower, the better, as long as you're at least getting 2g/day...if it's lower than that, add salt to foods.

    You don't need 1.5 g protein per lb. unless you're on steroids. .8 g per lb. is more than enough. That being said, I consume around 1.5-2 g per lb. only because I prefer to eat meats over carbs.

    Arnold said it...it's the gospel.

    Use MFP to track, not to set goals.

    1 gram of protien per pound of body weight should be your protien MINIMUM.

    You also have fat MINIMUMS. You should be getting roughly 0.4g of fat per pound of body weight. No less than that, again its a minimum.

    You will struggle to gain mass if you arent eating enough fat. Plus its not healthy. Your body needs fat.

    Glad to hear processed pop tarts arent part of your regular consuption.

    You aren’t eating enough. 3800 calories is too little if you are even hitting that number to begin with. I’m 29. 5’ 8.5” and currently 179lb and I eat 3900/day and I’m progressing very slow on this bulk. You should be well over 4000 at your size and age and activity level

    I've really started changing my mentality on food entirely. Looking at processed anything and understanding what is a filler and what will actually give my body nutrients. I've been leaning towards a fat and protein based diet with lots of greens. I really like how I feel and I usually have a lot of energy for gym and other activities.

    Protein intake is at like 1.5 so like you said, I’m above that min. Point taken on the fats. I’ll add more avocado and get the low fat or whatever cottage cheese instead of fat free
    Well glad the consensus is easy and unanimous. Some lunch/dinners I don’t do rice, just veggies and meat. I’ll add a cup or two of rice most of the time. And i guess I’ll add cup or two of yogurt/cottage cheese in the am for breakfast
    I’m gonna make a poptart, protein powder, peanut butter smoothie before my next back country tour just for you. And you’ll be so jelly

    It took me a while to convince Jen that wouldn’t happen. Just let her google some pics of chicks who lift or show her some IG sloots and she will change her mind...
    Just adding scoops of stuff isn’t going to necessarily help. If you aren’t measuring accurately and just guessing I guarantee you aren’t getting it right. I’ve been doing in for over a year and I’ll think I know what a certain weight of food looks like and I’ll measure what I scooped and be way off. 4000 cal is a shit ton of food...

    Also - I’ve thrown whole pop tarts in the blender with milk and protein powder and lemme tell you, that mix would make good money if someone mass produced it :drool:

    When I say cup, I mean like an actual measured cup. Not just glop it in and guess lol.

    4000 cal is a shot ton of food IF it’s clean. I can kill 4000 easy if it’s pizza and a burger and a stack of pancakes haha

    I’m excited for my poptart smoothie now lol.
