Had one on my GMC like that.
I liked it and the roof hardware gave it lots of options. Think it was a Yakima rack.
Oh, and the dopey Leer emblem on the back window comes right off with the hair dryer.

I was pretty much decided already, but figured I'd get a second (and third, fourth, fifth, etc) opinion from the TW people since a lot of you run truck toppers.

    Thanks, all.

I think I still have a photo of your truck when it was broken there.

My Leer 122 with windoors and removable front glass was ~$1300 new. Yours has more options and sounds like it's in near new condition. I'd expect it was probably several hundred more than mine was new. Not a bad deal IMO.

Since it already a done deal I'll just add my 2cents anyway. It's the best addition to my truck since I started covering the bed, and I've gone through them all. You'll be happy you have it once you get it on there and down the road you'll be even happier it's color matched too. Hope it all works out for you!

Demo is correct. It's a fairly optioned out cap and probably in the $2k range new. $1,400 is high for a used cap you'd find on craigslist, but a good deal for an optioned out, color matched, dealer installed cap in my opinion, as long as it's what you want.

    WTF are windoors? Pop-out windows?

    Thanks guys.

The GF and I are planning a road trip to the big ditch out west this spring, with the plan being to drive the F150 and sleep in the bed, so a platform with storage and a cap on top will be must-haves. I'd rather not have sprung for one around x-mas, but it's a perfect match so I don't want to let it slip past.

My wife's company did too. We have a Christmas party dinner (either a T-Bone Steak or Salmon) with an open bar

Windoors are the ones that are hinged at the top so you can complete open them up and access the bed. My current one has a half slider and the one before would only pop out and wouldn't actually open.

For that type of trip, you definitely want a carpeted liner and I'm sure the roof rack will be nice.
Nice! Ours was on Wednesday. We had a nice dinner for the team.

Ah, gotcha. Not an issue for me; I'm too short to grab anything over the bedrail

Caps are the best for that. I don’t have any good pics of my set up but I’ll post a few below

Just layed two 2x6s down in the slots for the then in the bed and then took two sheets of 3/4?ish ply can t remember exactly cut em down to fit. Covered em in some indoor/outdoor carpet and all set

Comes in an out in a minute- used to store em from my ceiling in the garage with a couple straps and a few eye bolts

In the Tacoma 2 long low roller tubs slide right under on each side

Typically I flip one side on top of the other allowing for taller items like the cooler water/gas cans to sit on the floor or the bed ( but with the mid height they will sit on top of the platform too)so if they were to leak they don’t leak on the platform. Then once at camp pull em out and lock em to the hitch with a cable lock

Pretty nice back there. Double up on the backpacking sleeping pads and it’s comfy. Does get tight with two people but the wife and I have done it plenty of times and is so much faster then a tent... and better if it’s wet out .

We still like to bring the big 6 person tent and airmattres for camp grounds or longer stays , but if it’s just me I’ll use the platform no matter what

    Nice setup.
I'd be looking to make something similar, but with pull-out drawers on the tailgate side and a folding lid or two on the front side for access to the storage space underneath the platform.

Bonus is that the truck has integrated bed lights with a switch in the bed and in the cab, so I'll probably just wire the dome light right in to that.
