Do you ever get the feeling that you should have went 4.7? I’m sure it’s still pretty low doubled but do you have any regrets?
    See @stairgod below
^^^. Also most guys with auto feel they can “two foot” and get through anything. While this is true, any time your giving throttle input that doesn’t match your ground speed your putting stress on the clutches in the torque converter. Also your building large amounts of heat and that is an auto trans’s worst nightmare. Most of the time two footing up an obstacle or a few obstacles is fine but if you start doing trails that your two footing for long long amounts of time it would greatly benefit your transmission to have a crawl box

Theres only been a handful of times that I've thought 4.7's would of really made things easier. I've never been able to justify that added expense in the past. Recently though I've been kinda of wanting them anyway:homer:

Never come close to overheating my trans on the trail. I also never two foot it either. All valid points though

While a crawl box is nice, I have done quite a bit being overgeared with a manual trans so meh.

I two foot some. I also probably use 2/4hi to much.

A question too, is there a top speed limit for 4lo before I break something? Didn't find anything in owners manual.

Once broke 4wd in my sea blue Cherokee that way

    See what I did there.

4Lo is just a gearing multiplier. Your trans gears top out quicker and thus speeds will significantly limited in each, so top speed will suffer. But as long as you aren't forcing it past redline all day, there isn't really a "top speed" outside of what your engine and trans will allow for.

I must’ve been nice and not naughty all year. Look what I found in my Xmas stocking.

Yeah, they have a track record of various voltage platforms: 18, 20, 36, 40 and now 60.
    The 12v are still good.
18v, 36v are pretty much gone.
40v is on its way out.

I had a good 2+ decade run with my 18v Dewalts.

I'm finally moving away and replacing with the 20v/60v series.

The 20v/60v should last me into my grave.

They made these 60v batteries to be backwards compatible with the 20v tools, so that peeps like me won't get the shaft a second time (when they switched their main 18v contractor grade stuff to 20v, Dewalt abandoned improving/upgrading the 18v from Ni-Cd to Li-ion technology.)

There is some kind of internal switch in the battery that, when inserted into a 20v tool rail, it supplies 20 volts. And when inserted into a 60v tool rail, it supplies 60 volts. Hence the term Flexvolt.

AND, if it was a straight 60 volt (~108 watts) Li-ion battery, it exceeds certain voltage wattage limits and cannot be shipped (by air) in the U.S. and other countries because of hazardous materials regulations. There is a special shipping cap that mimics the 20v rail and keeps it locked at 20 volts (~36 watts) for air shipping purposes.

Edited to add: Wattage and Air shipping
