    If you are a TRD Off Road with an auto tranny, you have loads of room to mount it on the passenger side. Any other config and you'll want the slee offroad mount.

    If you are interested I think it would be pretty easy to lower that front plate so it sits just above the bumper, making it look just a little bit better as it sits in that place.

    Did you add an emergency release in case the actuator ever fails in the locked mode or if you ever lose battery power?

    You want the emergency release- easy to do. I have had three pop and locks fail over the years and it sucks to take apart the tailgate to unlock it!
